The Automotive Collision Repair Technology Program is designed to prepare students for entry into one or more of the many service branches of the expanding automotive collision repair and maintenance fields. This program will also meet the needs of those in the adult community interested in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to repair and maintain the appearance and value of their personal vehicles.NOTE:College of Marin does not offer online-only teaching assignments; all faculty members must be available to teach in the classroom, in person.Foreign Degree Holders:Please see the Required Application Documents section below for importantinformation regarding the evaluation of your foreign degrees.

Automotive Technician Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Duplicate, diagnose and repair full range of automotive service issues found on vehicles including those of all electrical systems, engine, transmission, suspension, braking system, emission system.

JOB SUMMARYThe Automotive Collison Repair Instructor will be responsible for instruction and supervision of students in the Career Technology Center’s Automotive Collision Repair pathway. This includes training and preparing students in all aspects for a career in the field of collision repair including ASE certifications, dual credit, soft skills in the workplace and internships.

QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. Have four to five years of experience in the industry. LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Must be eligible through the Indiana Department of education for a CTE: Trade & Industrial Automotive Collision Repair Technology 5-12 license or Workplace Specialist: Automotive Collision Repair Technology 9-12 license. Must hold ASE certifications for specialty areas related to collision repair.
