Job Summary

  • Performs tasks involving kitchen exhaust cleaning (KEC) in commercial kitchens, not limited to only KEC. Other general labor/cleaning/pressure washing tasks may also be involved.

General Accountabilities

  • Responsible for pressure washing/steam cleaning.
  • Physically clean/scrape/remove grease from surfaces included but not limited to kitchen exhaust systems, kitchen equipment, and other various kitchen surfaces.
  • Operates various types of hand tools/scrapers.
  • Operate various types of commercial cleaning equipment;such as pressure washers, water heaters, wet vacs, etc...
  • Prepare sites for service. (Cover equipment with plastic, wrap hoods, protect outlets, etc...)
  • Clean-up sites after service.
  • Drive work vans to and from job sites.
  • May assist other hood techs/team leaders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education:
    High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.

You'll need to remove and install engine and electrical components, calibrate and maintain lab instruments, and operate lab equipment.

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or ged.  college courses with focus on math, science or engineering would be beneficial.

Experience Required:             

A safety oriented individual with Extensive Locomotive systems knowledge and testing experience.

Preference is for an individual who has been involved with testing Locomotive engine and electrical performance characteristics at various power levels. Individual will have good problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills. Being able to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. The Employee will become member of the emissions team. 

Safety oriented individual with ­­extensive locomotive engine experience.

Must have a good working knowledge of locomotive systems and possess the ability to install, inspect, and qualify engine components.

Components include:  power assemblies, turbochargers, injectors, etc.

Prefer knowledge of locomotive engine control and protection systems.

Good problem solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.

Description Jacobs Technology has an opening for an Emissions Laboratory Test Technician. Responsibilities include: + Operation of chassis dyno & emission analyzers including: dyno operation, install & removal of vehicle, vehicle driving based on drivers' aid or test instructions, & emission analyzer operation

  • Check data after completing test to ensure data integrity & results meet test request + Installation & removal of emission related parts & simulation devices to test all required engine OBD monitors + Installation & operation of data acquisition equipment + Removal & installation of automotive engines & transmissions + Perform general shop functions including: vehicle maintenance, repair and diagnosis while following safe guidelines + Perform any other duties as required, such as 4S + Keep workspaces clean and organized + Perform any other duties as required

Qualifications + Minimum of two (2) years of Chassis Dyno testing experience. 2 year Automotive Technology Associates Degree is preferred.

  • 2nd shift: 3:00pm ~11:30pm, 8hrs per day, Training will be conducted on day shift + Familiar with chassis dyno development test cycles (FTP, Unified, HWFET, US06, SC03, etc.) + Familiar with testing vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition & set-up + Self-starter & be able to work independently with minimal supervision
