Responsible for setting up vehicles on a chassis dyno machine and running various emissions test schedules

Works closely with engineering community to report any issues from the test
Associate’s in Automotive Technology preferred + 3 years of work experience
Driving experience is helpful and / or automotive testing experience
Previous emission testing experience would be a plus
Need to be able to drive manual transmission
Vehicle / Automotive testing experience or previous driving experience
Need to have basic computer skills
Driving experience on a dynamometer would be preferred
Some mechanical know how is a plus

Entry Level Hood Cleaning Technician for Commercial Hood & Exhaust Systems. We service grocery & restaurant chains as well as smaller family establishments. We operate out of Redmond Washington and service the greater Seattle area. Our night crews work Sunday through Thursday with Fridays & Saturdays off and service 1 to 3 Grocery Stores/Restaurants per night throughout the work week. Our Crews work as 2 to 3 person teams.
• Job duties include:
• 1) Power washing of commercial kitchen exhaust systems including hoods, duct work, filters and exhaust fans.
• 2) The set up and take down of all job sites and equipment including wiping down of stainless steel hoods, setting up wet/dry vacuums, high pressure hoses, pre-sprayers, ladders, hanging plastic sheeting, climbing ladders to roof etc.
• 3) Work both Independently & with team members to complete work projects without supervision.
• 4) Maintain equipment, reporting any mechanical deficiencies.
• 5) The position requires working mostly nights or early morning hours.
• 6) Properly fill out service reports, noting deficiencies in system. Must have legible writing.

Job Overview Provide emissions instrumentation support (test cell and engine systems) to the Daimler-Detroit Diesel Powertrain Engineering Laboratory.Duties of an Emissions instrumentation technician encompass a wide range of responsibilities including building, modifying, repairing, maintaining and calibrating a variety of emission (gaseous, particulate and smoke) instrumentation and related equipment as well as operating a particulate filter weigh room and maintaining compressed gas cylinder supply to emission equipment.A vast amount of time is required to troubleshoot, quickly identify and repair emissions related instrumentation equipment, with the objective to keep engineering lab emissions test downtime to a minimum.This position requires the individual to develop and maintain good interpersonal skills, as interfacing with other technicians and engineering personnel is required. Effective organizational and follow-up skills. Good communication skills (Cell Phone, Text, E-mail). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED: Experience working in the emissions instrumentation field.
Experience working in an engineering laboratory. Knowledge of diesel engines and testing. Capable of generating and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams.
