Description for Machine Mechanic:
- Rig, move, install, repair, and retime a wide variety of machines, pumps, valves, compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, etc.
- Clean and lubricate machinery, perform basic diagnostic tests, checking performance and test damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary. Plan, layout, work from and study fairly complicated drawings and/or sketches.
- Prepare cement foundations, rig and position machines or equipment. Modify and set-up equipment for calibration testing.
- Analyze failures and remedy troubles quickly to prevent lost time. Detect problems and correct them. Maintain preventative maintenance logs.
- Perform a variety of construction and repair work, weld broken parts and fixtures. Disassemble equipment to repair or replace the necessary parts.
- Following standard safety procedures to prevent injury to self and others. Responsible for tools, machines, equipment, etc. used while performing work.
- High school graduate or equivalent (preferable from a vocational/technical school)
- 3-5 years of formal trades training
- Use hand and power tools as appropriate and repair small tools
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments, such as rule, square, micrometer, level, speed indicator, etc.

Machine Operator- Bakery Mixer
Operates processing and/or packaging equipment in the food manufacturing facility.
Properly mixes all varieties of product in a manner to insure consistency and quality within QA and R&D specifications.
Provides accurate recordkeeping of lot codes, batches and all required data.
Responsible for operating equipment used in preparation, mixing, and finishing product. Equipment includes but not limited to mixers, depositor, conveyors, etc.
In some facilities, may monitor shape quality for make up as to proper size, surface defects, rolling and general shape and ensure line speeds and strokes per minute are maintained as per schedule.
Use of raw materials in proper rotation (oldest first).
Assists supervision in proactively identifying problems and providing solutions.
Recognizes and reports any signs of product tampering.
Maintains cleanliness on line and 5S standards. Equipment and work areas must be kept organized, clean and sanitary throughout the shift. End of shift requires removal of any waste and garbage generated during the shift. Ensure proper care of equipment.
Follows all safety procedures and participates in safety training. Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and PPE. Reports any injury, accident or unsafe condition immediately to supervisor.
Supports product safety, quality and legality.
Supports and complies with GMPs.
Follows all company policies and procedures.

The Machine Tool Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all maintenance issues in the Machine Operations Department. This job has no supervisory duties. Individual reports to the Maintenance Machining Supervisor. After training, the successful candidate will work second shift, from 3-11:30 p.m.

Installs and maintains all machine tools, troubleshoots and repairs all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems.
Reads and understands mechanical prints and electrical schematics associated with machine tools.

Machine Repair Mechanic
Responsible for the mechanical repair and mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment. Responsible for maintaining a safe work area, safe work practices, for high quality, for high productivity, for integrity, and for compliance with Company instructions and directives, including the Company's prohibition against discrimination and harassment
Education and Training:
Must have knowledge of shop mathematics, applied mechanics, industrial machinery, plant and equipment. Must be able to use personal computer and electronic diagnostic equipment. Work from handbook formulas, drawings, sketches and diagrams.
Two to three years experience minimum or an associate's degree from an accredited trade school program.
Performs all necessary job functions including but not limited to the following:
1.Maintain, modify, install, rebuild diagnose and repair mechanical machinery and equipment.
2.Develop and maintain procedures for mechanical maintenance activity.
3.Prioritize and schedule mechanical maintenance activities.
4.Assure that plant and equipment meet production quality expectations including the Boiler house.
5.As directed, assist any employee in any job classification in the performance of their maintenance duties.
6.Perform any other activity, as directed, required for maintenance. This shall include movement, packaging, protection and crating of material, product and any manufacturing related items and operation of material handling equipment as required to successfully complete their mechanical maintenance tasks.
7.When assigned as Leadperson: Assist and direct personnel to meet quality, cost and schedule requirements. Coordinate production problem resolutions and process improvements. Communicate with production and support personnel. Instruct and train personnel. Perform maintenance work.
