Rome is looking for a candidate for our day shift sheet line team as a machine operator trainee. The candidate must be safety oriented and dependable. The 8 hour work shift is from 6 am to 2:30 pm m-f. with mandatory over time during the peak season. Duties will include roll forming metal, using overhead cranes, and assisting other departments where needed. Our starting pay is 14 dollars an hour with potential for quarterly bonuses. This is an entry level position with on the job training.

An essential function of this job is the ability to work a 6am-6pm shift.
Our Machine Operators in Cleanroom, Lap & Polish (CLP), perform finishing operations at Silfex for its electrodes and semiconductor parts prior to shipping. In lap & polish, our operators use precision equipment with an abrasive slurry to remove residual grind marks on the surface and polish to a specified finish. In the cleanroom, our operators run the parts through an ultrasonic cleaner using mechanical means to separate impurities and subsequently through wet benches that employ proprietary chemistry to achieve desired purity levels through chemical etching.

Develop and maintain competency in basic troubleshooting of equipment
Follow all material handling requirements to ensure quality of product and equipment
