JOB DESCRIPTION: Pick orders using an RF scanner
Check the quality of finished product prior to packing.
Pack finished product into proper cartons.
Seal and label cartons.
Stock cartons on pallets in the prescribed manner.
Maintain adequate supplies of cartons, chipboards, filler pads, and tape at the work station.
Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.

Picker Packer 2 - Seasonal
The LSC Communications warehouse located in Cranbury, NJ is looking for experienced picker / packer 2 to work in the 3rd shift (11:30 pm - 8 am)
Responsible for providing leadership and work direction for employees. Performs the tasks involved with the activities associated with loose product pick/pack, returns processing, and product assembly. This activity includes the put-away of replenishment stock and the activities associated with the ongoing cycle-count activity in the loose pick area.
Focuses on Quality Control in the Loose Pick Area. .
Train employees how to perform assigned tasks
Monitor break times to ensure that employees adhere to the scheduled time allotment.
Monitors job quality by performing frequent inspections. Refers unusual operations issues and/or problems in a timely and effective manner to the Supervisor for resolution.
Recommend changes to the Supervisor to improve upon procedures as required to exceed customer expectations and notify Supervisor or Crewing Coordinator of any safety hazards.
Loose Pick/Pack – order picking, order document handling, product restock/replenishment, carton forming, Radio Frequency (RF) device operation, warehouse management system parcel QC and small package confirmation process, Understand emergency stop procedures for conveyer product transport and trash, Operation of UPS and USPS metering equipment.

Read and interpret written work order to ensure type, quantity and quality of product and any special customer instructions are followed in production process.
Pack products on running machines and place product into each case.
Lift and pack stacks of product.
Select appropriate amount of product either by measuring; hand counting, or counting done by a stacker system.
Assemble cartons by folding and closing with hand taper or tape machine.
Combination packaging of product to include regular packing with the addition of a pre counted bag of plastic domes or foil laminated boards to be placed in box before adding aluminum pans.
Monitor materials and product for defects.
Scrap aluminum product that does not meet quality specification.
Move skids/pallets and visually inspect for functionality, discard if broken.
Feed packaging lines with pans, domes and/or other product. Fill band, glue and label machines.
Follow instructions and push buttons to call the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) to pick up packed product.
Visually inspect product to determine satisfactory quality and count product to ensure quantity is according to specifications.
Comply with all Plant rules, safety rules, GMP and PPE guidelines and Department work instructions.
Work as directed by Department Supervisor and as assigned by shift Lead.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Perform any and all other duties as assigned

Maintain a log of completed orders pulled and inspected for shipment.
Keep work area in clean and in an orderly fashion.
Good reading, writing and math skills
Ability to understand and implement established methods and procedures.
Ability to obtain lift truck certification.
Ability to use CRT and data entry technologies (bar code, key entry)
Strong administrative skills and show attention to detail in working from
