- Previous knowledge of concrete works and steel fixing are essential.

- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- This position requires climbing, kneeling, bending, and crawling often as well as the ability to work on ladders, platforms, and mechanical lifts

Job Description: Prepare detailed and illustrative descriptions of post-tension requirements, to be developed from architectural/engineering drawings and City, County, State and Highway standards, for the purpose of shop fabrication, delivery, and field installation of Post Tensioning cables Utilize computer microstation and aSa computer aided design (CAD) detailing software to create placing drawings.
Duties & Responsibilities Prepare simple to moderately complex post tension placing plans of structural components using customer structural and architectural drawings and specifications. Perform and record various mathematical calculations and equations using charts, graphs, hand-held calculators, and conventional and CAD system computer software programs. Coordinate the preparation of project placing plans with Gerdau s Post Tension Division management team in accordance with customer schedule and/or contract requirements Responsible for coordinating activities and cooperating with other division personnel and departments to insure efficiency in providing a quality product and optimum service to the customer in a timely fashion.
Make revisions to placing plans or drawings at the request of engineer or department supervisor and follow up to obtain needed information or to resolve discrepancies in plan sections, dimensions, etc. Prepare material cut list from approved drawings for fabrication. The Individual High School Diploma or GED required; 2 or 4 year technical degree in drafting or engineering field preferred 3 to 5 years experience on related work such as rebar detailing and estimating of reinforcing steel.
