Shift Details: 1st Shift-6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.-Monday-Friday
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Perform basic and detailed machining and assembly tasks to operate at least one machine and/or perform many manual / assembly duties.
2.Perform repetitious and previously performed work without supervisory and technical assistance. Assistance may be needed for other work.
3.Multi-tasking that requires focused concentration is expected to be learned – must be willing to cross train.
4.Utilizes basic skills and experience background to perform machining and manual tasks.
5.Process transactions necessary for work situations that requires very good working PC user know-how.
6.Improvising sometimes is necessary to solve work problems to maintain work schedules.
7.As necessary, supervisor may assign to assist and help others with work.
8.Work from verbal or written instructions, work specifications, routing sheets, etc.; uses basic math ---- all in English.
9.Perform minor maintenance and work with others to provide assistance with major maintenance projects when assigned.
10. May utilize and/or operate material moving equipment, carts, etc. and use some production tools including hand tools and precision devices.
11. When assigned perform duties and tasks outside department and job to the best of individual skill and ability.
12. Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as work schedules require. In peak periods additional overtime is required.
13. Comply with general work rules -- responsible for quality of own work, housekeeping of own work area, and to work safely.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Generally high school vocational orientated background or related education is preferred, but not required- typically, 3 months to 3 years of fast pace, high volume production experience or similar background or equivalent combination of education and experience is needed to successfully perform job requirements. Time classified in the specific job classifications does not automatically qualify an individual. In addition to the time guidelines, an individual must meet all other job requirements and a company approved job opening must exist.
Physical Requirements:
Work requires incumbent to be mobile and in a standing / walking position with ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Uses hands to handle, finger, or feel objects and to perform keyboarding.
Also uses hands and arms to reach and grab objects. Sometimes it is necessary to crouch or kneel. Successful performance requires good vision abilities including close vision.

Press Operator (Pasta Extrusion)
Position Summary:
Press Operator is a valuable role for our organization. As a Press Operator at Dakota Growers Pasta Co., you would be responsible for pasta production equipment operation to drive maximum product output while maintaining DGPC quality and safety standards. Additionally, you play a key role in preparing for shape changes according to the production schedule and ensure the proper blends of raw ingredients are used.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review press and dryer machines for correct operational settings according to standard operating procedures; monitor and adjust production settings in order to achieve a scheduled poundage goal for each production run. Evaluate and correct machine stoppages without close supervision. Reports issues to Senior Press Operators
Continuously monitor and maintain lengths in short goods and patterns in long goods according to DGPC specifications. Inform the Senior Operator and Silo operators of any non-spec pasta that may require regrinding
Prepare for shape changes according to the production schedule and ensure the proper blends of raw ingredients are used
Assist in, or conduct, ingredient changeovers as directed by the Senior Press Operators
Assist in maintaining a detailed log of production events during each shift; maintain and review quality check sheets consistently during each shift
Partner with Press Utility roles to clean-up machines issues during operation, as requested
Report safety and food safety issues to the Senior Press Operator or Lead Press Operator
Assist Lab Technicians with pasta samples for moisture testing by removing long goods products from machine process points three times per day
Conduct inspections, record, and report findings in the semolina tailings (mill scalpings), and report findings back to Mill via Senior Press Operator
Maintain dies (selecting, preparing, washing, storing) and perform additional die room duties (preparing ingredient hoppers, recording ingredient usage, proper disposal of containers, and superstack machine operation) in the absence of the die room attendant
Other duties, as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution OR 1-year experience in manufacturing in lieu of education
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Skills:
Previous experience operating equipment in a manufacturing setting
Previous experience working with production line control computers

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the set-up and operation of mechanical and/or hydraulic presses utilized to perform such tasks as forging, trimming, cold working, blanking, stamping and forming.
Sets, adjusts, and monitors temperature controls of induction heating equipment to control billet heat, as required.
Uses standard measuring equipment such as scales and calipers; hot gauges; hand tools of the trade; and a variety of material handling and moving equipment in lifting and transporting dies, parts and materials to and from work stations.

Exciting 2nd Shift Flexographic Press Operator opportunities available near the airport. This position pays $18-$23/hour depending upon experience and is "temp. to hire", running Mark Andy 4150 presses (printing high quality labels) at a successful organization near the Milwaukee airport. Positions are: 2nd shift 2:40 p.m. to 10:40 p.m. with either (2) 10 minute breaks or (1) 20 minute break. If you have good basic math skills, lift up to 50 lbs., run/transition/touch screen to record and track and log the order, and have outstanding attendance, then this position is for you.

Operates power press to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal by performing the following duties.

The Press Operator III role is responsible for the set up and operation of single and multi-color printing presses in accordance with the printing specifications and customer requirements/expectations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage and run presses assigned for Press Operator III level.
Work indirectly with Quality personnel on a daily basis for quality standards and sign-off.
Work directly with their TRP/Supervisor to understand and support the goals, plans, and policies of the organization.
Understand from TRP/Supervisor what steps to go through for verification before a job is taken down
Work with TRP/Supervisor to minimize and avoid future backorders, reruns, and flag sheet occurrences
Work overtime as requested by management.
Perform the mandatory daily stretching to contribute to a healthier, safe work environment.
Keep your press area clean and safe by abiding within the established company cleanliness requirements, AIB, and safety policies and procedures.
Properly fill out and complete all required paperwork for the job.
Responsible for verification of job material requirements, copy and color requirements, press diagram sheet and anilox requirements.
Responsible for following current and any new procedures.
