In the role of Barley Research Scientist working in Burley, Idaho, you will be part of the Corporate Brewing – Malting and Materials Team. You will provide direct support to the execution of the malting barley development strategy to develop superior proprietary malting barley varieties to secure a cost effective and sustainable barley to malt to beer supply chain, critical to the business as malted barley is the primary raw material used in beer production and has a major role in finished beer quality (aroma, flavor, flavor stability, foam, color and body).
You will support the barley development program through managing resources and activities associated with field trials and to assist with greenhouse operations to develop varieties for strategic growing regions that meet the agronomic and barley and malt quality targets critical for securing and growing barley acres, optimal malting and brewing performance, and superior beer quality.
This position reports to the Manager, Barley Breeding and works closely with the Barley Lab.
Support execution of barley development strategy to provide MillerCoors with a sustainable competitive advantage in barley procurement and beer production and quality.
Establishes spraying and irrigation schedules in collaboration with Barley Breeder and Farm Supervisor.
Supports innovation to meet malting barley development objectives, accelerate barley development and meet sustainability goals.
Assists in activities associated with equipment readiness for planting and harvest
Provide leadership to cross-functional barley development team to meet team objectives and barley development goals.
Plans resources in collaboration with Barley Breeder to assure cover for all tasks associated with field trials and post-harvest activities.
The Other Qualifications:
You have experience with database applications, experimental design and statistics.
You have a Bachelor's Degree in plant breeding, horticulture, agricultural science or related field
Even better, you have MS degree in plant breeding, agricultural science or horticulture and 2-3 years experience with small grains, specifically barley

The Utility Tech is the entry level position among the cross-trained and multi-functioning utility operators. The Utility Tech is required to perform at least one mill operations function as assigned by mill management to maximize plant efficiency. Demonstrates ability to learn and develop mill operations skill sets. Performs work under direct supervision.
Utility Tech effectively performs at least one (1) mill operation as assigned by mill management to maximize plant efficiency. This includes but is not limited to:
Ingredient Receiving Operations: Inspect and unload bulk ingredients from railcars or trucks into mill process equipment. Perform all required routing and setup of equipment through mill control system.
Grain Processing Operations: Operate machinery to grind, crack or crimp ingredients, including corn, barley and oats, in preparation for use in formulas. Determine quantities, set machines and required routing. May use computerized controls in some locations.
Micro Ingredient Operations: Accurately weigh, measure, package and label smaller quantities of ingredients by hand, including vitamins, minerals and other chemicals, based on specific recipe requirements for use in batching, pelleting or extrusion operations. Utilize hand held scanner and other specialized equipment.
Sacking Operations: Operate automated packaging equipment and computerized controls to ensure bags are properly filled with product, sewn, tagged and dated. Properly route for storage or delivery.
Bulk Loadout Operations: Load bulk delivery vehicles as assigned and per truck loading orders. Utilize mill process equipment to load feed from holding bins to the truck compartments. May use computerized controls at some locations.
Other Plant Operations as management designates, such as but not limited to assisting maintenance mechanics with preventative maintenance or warehousing operations loading and unloading feed and ingredients.
For those operations identified, maintain effective working knowledge of production procedures and assume full responsibility for operational requirements, including communication, documentation, efficiency and scheduling, and maintenance.
Effectively utilize the proper tools and equipment to complete assignments, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Demonstrate initiative to develop new operations skills. Participate in training opportunities offered by Cargill to increase familiarity with facility and learn procedures for performing additional mill operations.

Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
Communicate directly with parents and prospective parents to achieve success for the child.
Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.

We are most interested in talking to applicants that have:
Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility
Coursework or a degree in early childhood education or child development or a CDA
Impeccable references and a proven track record of caring and nurturing children to provide them with a great start to their educational careers
The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
Must be at least 18 years of age
