Laser Marker Operator
Eaton's Aerospace division is currently seeking a Laser Marker to join our team! This position is based at our Glenolden, PA facility.
The Stock Selector is responsible for set up and operation of all Laser equipment. Understand all safety procedures involving the Laser function. Understand blueprints and its relationship to laser marking the product. Ability to use measuring devices to ensure accurate positioning of marking.

You will be trained in use of a Class 1 (protected) and Class 4 (unprotected) laser marker system, including all safety procedures, including Personal Protection Equipment and 5S Philosophies and laser room functions, fire extinguishers, ventilation, safety interlocks, fume extraction, etc.
You will Familiar with the functional checks and basics of the equipment. Notify maintenance personnel of need to scheduled or required service.
You will Interact with Laser using LaserCad User Interface to call up and activate required programs to accomplish specified mark. Contact Level 2 personnel or assigned manufacturing engineer for mark corrections.
General knowledge of hand measuring tools, optical comparator, etc. to evaluate marked part content / location. Submit first article for inspection as required.
Understand and Utilize provided tooling to accurately position parts for marking.
Laser mark parts in accordance to drawing specifications and / or customer requirements.
Knowledgeable of appropriate Customer and Mil specs, etc. needed for day-to-day marking activities
Visually evaluate mark for acceptance to specified criteria.
Knowledgeable of 2D Matrix theory and practices
Use Verification equipment including camera and scanner to capture and evaluate 2D Matrix marks manufactured by Laser process
You will utilize 2D Matrix log to capture and archive Matrix images
Apply protective coating (Alodize) as defined per drawing and or router instructions
Responsible for continuous improvement and cost out activities
You will Maintain a workflow in laser marking area to eliminate bottlenecks

The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for a Marker Maker and Digitizer located at our Haverhill, MA location. The Marker Maker, under moderate supervision, prepares garment markers using CAD equipment.
Digitizes patterns for garment development process and makes modifications of the pattern in graphic design software.
Creates and distributes product design and pattern documentation.
Applies standard company grading and ensures quality standards are used during the product development process and for final production.
Applies standard alterations and ensures quality standards are met during the pre-production order processing for special orders.
Prepares and creates patterns from plastic and paper based materials.
Performs such similar, comparable or related duties, as may be required, including guiding and assisting other CAD Marker Makers.
Working level knowledge in the use of CAD (computer-assisted drafting) equipment, and pattern cutting in the garment industry.
Experience: Marker making and CAD experience in the garment manufacturing industry are required.
Skills/Aptitudes: Attention to details; mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity; and data entry, organizational and oral and written communication skills are required.
Working Conditions: Office and plant environments. Occasional overtime may be required.

Native Trait Marker Lead
Monsanto is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the cross functional Genome and Marker Design (GMD) team in Molecular Breeding Technology (MBT) for our Biotech/API (Ag Productivity Innovations) organization. The Native Trait Marker Lead will lead a team of scientists and research associates responsible for applying cutting edge genetics, genomics and lab techniques for the detection of causative alleles and the design and deployment of trait-linked genetic markers to support Monsanto's Breeding and Genome Design pipelines. This will be a strategic role for implementation of new and existing technologies for marker discovery across multiple crops including corn, soy, cotton, wheat, canola, sorghum and vegetables.
The Native Trait Marker Lead will be responsible for establishing team vision and strategy for identification of causative alleles and variants, driving development and implementation of genomics workflows to address genomic diversity, and working across Technology to effectively and efficiently deploy genetic markers for strategic traits to enable product development. Experience using large complex data sets and complex database systems
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts to people outside the discipline
Desired Education & Skills/Experience:
PhD in Genetics, Genomics or related field of study
Prior experience directly supervising a team
Three or more years leading cross-functional projects
