Single Ply Roofing Foreman Needed!
Plan, organize, and oversees the daily activities, including designating material staging areas, overseeing and training individuals in roofing system installations, and crew personnel management scheduling and issues. The foreman will be responsible for installing roofing system in the safest, highest quality and most cost effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide safe working environment for BRC crews, subcontractors, and others.
Act in a positive and professional manner.
Thoroughly review job file and shop drawing with Project manager and including the scope of work, materials ordered and delivery schedule, budget for labor productions (man days) and job site contacts.
Ensure that proper safety and equipment is on the job and used in the proper manner. Foreman needs to coordinate these needs with the Project Manager, but is ultimately responsible.
Review job on site to create a plan to complete project within the man day budget.
Supervise and support crew everyday with regard to safety, quality and labor production. Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping.
Ensure that all materials received are counted and compared to purchase order.
Monitor material needs on a daily basis. Plan several days ahead to avoid running out of materials.
Make sure on site equipment is monitored and maintained, such as oil changes on kettle motors, belts on cutters, etc. Notify warehouse of any broken or defective equipment before returning.
Communicate with Project Manager, everyday regarding job progress, field problems, technical questions, etc.
Prepare and submit daily job reports and time sheets, as directed by Department Head.
Provide training to crewman and/or others on site as required.
Responsible for overall safety and quality of each job. This includes checking for water tightness, mops left on roof, and ensuring job site is complete and has been cleaned up properly. Coordinate punch list and job close out before crew leaves job site for the last time.
Review job performance with Project manager in regards to safety, quality and budget when job has been completed.
Attend all coordination planning meetings.

Work Environment: (95% construction sites 5% office). The majority of the Foreman work will be done at construction work sites. Education: Minimum requirements High School Diploma or GED, college is a plus
Must speak English fluently, Spanish is a plus.
Experience: proven 3 to 7 years of roofing experience.
Extensive knowledge of roofing which includes BUR, Single Ply, Metal, & Waterproofing Techniques and Products. Shingles and Tile a plus.
Valid Driver License: Must have a valid driver license
Motivated and professional and proven leadership skills.
Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel
Blue Prints Reading: Basic knowledge of construction blue prints.
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to logically figure out how to accomplish their task with the man days provided.
Certificates / Licenses / Registrations: 30 Hour OSHA Construction card, First Aid/CPR/Bloodborne pathogen training. May require other specific equipment license or training. Other training as prescribed by Baker Roofing Company.

Taylor Communications is seeking a 1st Shift Hand Assembly to work in our Arden Hills, Minnesota location.
- Monday- Friday (7:00am-3:00pm)
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
Assembles, binds, and/or packages materials and products manually
Hand inserts job material into predetermined envelopes
Performs basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, strength testing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance
Folds & tapes boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets according to direction
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:008 quality standard
Troubleshoot all equipment as needed
Set up and operate tale top folders, drills, shrink wrappers, three ring binding equipment, and other small equipment
Utililze mail meter equipment
Set up efficient work areas (collect all materials needed)
Ability to read and follow work instructions
Communicate with supervisor regarding quality issues
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations

PERFORMS SUCH TYPICAL DISTINGUISHING DUTIES AS:
Perform various shop tasks in the support of both the manufacturing of machined parts and sheetmetal fabrication; accomplishes the final finishing, fitting and assembling of machined parts, where it is required to exercise a knowledge of applicable machine shop practices and procedure; sets up completely and operates equipment in the fabrication of sheet, formed and extruded parts. Performs such finishing operations as descaling, deburring, buffing, polishing, texturing material and parts to specified finishes, and checks parts for conformance to specifications.
Performs rework to the level of difficulty of the operations described above.
May require certifications. Utilizes Blueprint Reading I and shop math or equivalent.
PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS:
Assisting operators, machinists or others in making and breaking down setups.
Under close observation and proximity of more experienced personnel such as machinist or senior operator, operates machine tools after setups are made to perform simple operations for the purpose of learning said operations, or to relieve the operator.Cleans, dries, identifies and protects parts as required.
Improvises shop aids to facilitate work assignments.
Operates overhead cranes and hoists in support of duties described herein.
Hand forms finished parts as required; records for future reference roll settings and sequences used in obtaining desired contours.
Presses in bushings and pins and may hone as required.
Operates hand fork lift and power equipment to load and unload machines.
Standing: Requires full time standing with limited resting periods and to walk distances. Sit for extended periods if required.
Heights: Able to work at heights. Able to work off of step stools, lift platforms.
Overhead work: Able to work overhead as required.
Weight restriction: Able to Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 30 lbs
