Geoscience Technologist - Permian Basin
The Southern Operating Area is seeking a Geoscience Technologist to join our team in support of Encana's ongoing development of the Permian Basin Asset. This position will report to the Manager, Development Operations - Geoscience.
The Geoscience Technologist position will work with the Asset team supporting geoscientists focusing primarily on geoscience workflows and geological data base management, maintaining timely updates of well, core, log and other data on the IHS Kingdom platform with a high level of data integrity. The position also produces engineering data maps related to budget and/or reserve reporting activities. Qualified candidates must have strong management, organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written), as well as a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong technical support team.

Drain Basin Puller

The Drain Basin Puller is responsible for properly identifying the correct dimensions of a drain basin outlet and fabricating a pulled stub for the eventual installation of a drain basin branch. The parameters of such a pull must be maintained in a controlled temperature environment such that the basin body is heated to a formable temperature and then cooled after the pull to a solid state so that the resulting inner dimensions of the pull is receptive to the outer dimensions of the drain basin branch. Daily communication regarding department performance with Production Manager is required. Ultimate goal is to produce high quality parts with minimum downtime in the most safe and economical manner. The Drain Basin Puller must be flexible to work 40+ hours per week. The Drain Basin Puller reports directly to the Production Manager.
The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the Drain Basin Puller include, but are not limited to:
Monitor in the incoming quality and specifications of the raw material such that all parameters meet the dimensions of the sales order
Ensure the accuracy of the pull by correctly identifying the proper pull tooling based on the type of branch called for on the sales order
Ensure safe operations of all machines by following specified safety guidelines
Careful operation of basin heater pads such that the basins are heated to a formable temperature
Work intimately with the Drain Basin Layout Operator to manage incoming raw material to department
Proper set up and maintenance of equipment used in the department
Support Production Manager in daily activities
Seek improvements in production efficiencies
Monitor the quality of products produced and ensure that all initial products are approved by the Quality Manager.

The Completions Product Line Sales Manager supports General Area resources and builds capability to proactively and strategically sell Weatherford tools, technologies and services within the defined Product Line segment. Tailings Basin & Yards And Grounds Supervisor
- ROLE PURPOSE

Supervise the implementation and execution of the daily and long-range aspects of the Tailings basin plan, and supervise the safe execution of responsibilities of the Yards & Grounds personnel at the plant, including efficient Concentrate, Pellet, and Flux stockpile storage and retrieval operations.

Prioritize work in a way that supports the operating strategy and enables team members to work according to the role as designed.
Execute the long term tailings basin plan with technical specs as approved by the Corporate Technical Engineering support team. Assure Tails Truck operators follow assigned haul routes. Provide clear direction for rotating shift personnel to maintain Basin operations 24/7.
Perform tours of the tailings basin at a frequency rate that supports the execution of the tailings basin plan and monitors for any deviations requiring action. Anticipates required actions due to seasonal and weather changes and assigns personnel accordingly.
Manage the contractors for the development of the external dam portions of the tailings basin plan.
Assign tasks to basin surveyors. Monitor surveying work and adjust tasks or request additional surveying resources from the contractor as needed.
Assure Yards & Grounds and Basin crews are working safely and productively, and that concentrate stockpiles are managed as intended to support operational needs. Supervises both equipment operators and maintenance staff to assure all needed work is performed and equipment is kept in safe, proper working order.
Review daily time entries in pay system and assure accurate reporting of start/stop times and pay rates. Use attendance system to control and reduce absenteeism.
A four year degree (technical preferred), or equivalent relevant work experience with the commitment to obtaining a degree. A Civil Engineering degree would be ideal.
5-7 years of related heavy industry experience, with Tailings Basin experience a plus.

Manage equipment hours and maintenance on all PropStream assets (Trucks, conveyors, forklifts and trailers) to insure that equipment is working properly, efficiently and safely.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Operations Management or Business preferred.
Extensive operations management experience, specifically in E&P frac site operations, inventory management and logistics.
Strong management, planning, organizational and leadership skills. Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office applications and in other menu driven programs used by the company.
Knowledge of various laws including but not limited to OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc. as well as regulations, codes and standards as they relate to the industry.
Must have ability to work in and effectively supervise and lead in a team environment.

Big Horn Basin Food Hub Coordinator
Surrounded by mountains and adjacent to Yellowstone National Park, the 200 square mile Big Horn Basin in Wyoming is home to diversified agriculture and ranching. Most producers are however small and it is becomingly increasingly difficult for these small farmers and ranchers to compete and survive.
The Food Hub will work with producers and affiliated partners to enable local producers to distribute their products to a wider range of markets, connect to each other, strengthen food nutrition and security, educate consumers and institutions as to the importance of buying locally produced goods, increase the revenue for small family farms, ranches and those low income individuals and families who can grow local produce for sale as supplemental income, increase employment for low income individuals and families in Food Hub associated activities such as aggregation, storage, packaging value-added processing distribution and marketing services, and help eliminate poverty in the Big Horn Basin area.The first year of VISTA successfully researched this topic and a feasibility study funded by a USDA Local Foods Promotion Program grant affirmed the value of a Food Hub and identified various models and phases that could be pursued in the launching of a sustainable Food Hub (www.wyofoodhub.com).Key assignments of the VISTA in this second year are research, outreach, education, drafting a plan of action and then building the capacity in the successful implementation of the plan of action. Grant writing will also be involved. Special effort will be spend on the development of a year-round commercial greenhouse, of which considerable research has already been completed through grant funding obtained by the previous VISTA worker. The VISTA member will work extensively with producers, distribution channels, market partners, governmental agencies, entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations to build a program that can stand on its own and grow in the future.
