Job Description This position involves day-to-day operation of an enterprise information technology (IT) infrastructure.
The candidate will be part of a small team of system administrators who perform Windows, Linux, and network system administrative tasks.
The main responsibilities of this candidate are (1) to be the in-house Microsoft enterprise infrastructure expert and the primary person supporting the company's production Microsoft infrastructure environment (2) primary Check Point firewalls manager.
The company's Microsoft server infrastructure is located in Basking Ridge, NJ.
This is the primary work location.
On-site work is required with occasion travel to the company's second office site in Red Bank, NJ.
The Microsoft server infrastructure includes in-house Domain Controllers, 2010 Exchange servers and ActiveSync, SharePoint servers with accompanied SQL database servers, 2015 Skype for Business servers, print servers, and Hyper-V virtualization hosts.
The candidate is expected to maintain these servers, upgrade servers, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
The second major responsibility is to maintain and manager Check Point 4400 and 2200 appliances, including log archiving, update configuration, build VPNs and change firewall rules per requests.
In order to be able to effectively performing this task, the candidate should have solid TCPIP networking and routing knowledge as well as being an expert in firewall technologies.
In addition, the candidate is expected to support end users to resolve Microsoft Windows issues on the client machines and from time to time, work with researchers to build, support and troubleshooting test beds.
