- Performs startup, defrost and shut-down of the IQF freezer.
- Works as directed by the IQF Supervisor, setting up and breaking down the production line, adding and testing chemicals, bring out product from the cooler, filling out production paperwork, cleaning equipment, weighing and dumping mushrooms and monitoring how the entire process is functioning.
Education and Training: None, High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
2 Years in production work and familiarity with the IQF production equipment.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills
The ability to work unsupervised
Ability to drive forklifts and electric pallet jacks
Working knowledge of Cold Storage production equipment is a plus
A valid driver license and an operator’s license for a forklift and an electric pallet jack

Night Warehouse Freezer Selector
Basic Purpose- The selector position is a material handling, labor intensive job which processes work orders in the warehouse by manually selecting the correct products from the racks, palletizing them and delivering the merchandise to the dock secured and shrink wrapped for delivery in a safe and efficient manner Considerable strength and endurance is required to safely and successfully perform the job. The work takes place in normal warehouse environments as well as in cooler and freezer areas where the temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees. Description- Perform all pre-shift duties which would include safety check of all equipment.
Selects customer orders from pick slots using pick lists of assorted items to build orders according to driver stops at customer locations. This involves riding a pallet jack, moving products from racks to pallet, labeling the selected cases with the order labels and using Voxware Voice Logistics Software. Validates that correct product has been selected and is damage free.
Notify Stocker of empty or short slots for replenishment. Work in multi-temperature areas as assigned. Meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy while working in a safe manner.
Delivers merchandise to correct dock area, stacks items on pallets according to driver stops at customer locations for next day delivery and shrink wraps palletized orders. Performs various post-shift duties that could include: Clearing aisles of all debris, returning pallet jack to charging area, and hook up jack for battery charging.
Stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle. Clean up any spills and places damaged product in recoup area. Completes any related paperwork.
This is a night shift position; Sunday through Thursday (including holidays) and possibly Friday. Finish time is when work is completed and could require overtime with or without notice. Attend all required company meetings and adhere to all safety practices and company policies. Concise reporting of required inspections, evaluations, P.M. procedures, etc. and clear communication with Management, etc.
Responsible for logging time and materials into computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on a daily basis in the form of repairs, P.M.s, etc.
Responsible for daily communication of all pertinent information regarding equipment operation and maintenance to maintenance lead/management and other maintenance teams/shifts. Responsible for housekeeping, clean up of all maintenance areas/work areas on a daily basis. Required to interpret and understand plans and specifications, schematics, operating and maintenance manuals, etc. for all systems being overseen.
Assist maintenance lead in developing standard operating procedures, daily work schedules, and duty cycles for all repairs and maintenance for MHE and battery equipment. Assist in managing outside battery, MHE, and electrical contractors conducting service, repair and new contract work. Assist maintenance leads in creation of parts lists and managing parts.
Assist the battery technicians; duties will include assisting in battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering and washing batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, and other general maintenance activities. Assist the building and refrigeration maintenance teams; duties will include assisting in general building repairs, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, refrigeration systems repair and maintenance, and other general maintenance activities. RSS Staffing is seeking experienced Sit down forklift operators- Freezer area, for a food storage warehouse in Columbus. This facility distributes items such as energy bars, coffee products, and other similar products. These are temp-to-hire positions that offer opportunity for a long-term position!
Sit-down forklift operators are responsible for tasks such as: transporting product between departments, loading/unloading, scanning product, and shipping and receiving.
