Responsible for the operation of the furnace and batch mixing facilities under the direction of the Batch and Furnace Manager. Assist Batch and Furnace Manager with the organization and direction of the Batch and Furnace department ensuring consistent quality glass through the most efficient use of energy and equipment.

Assist with the development and training of standard operating procedures polices and quality standards utilized in glass melting refining and batch and cullet operations. Supervise the operation and maintenance of the EPscrubber system. Assist the Plant Environmental Engineer in the collection and reporting of emissions data and responding to regulatory agency requests.
Order raw material and tracks raw material shipments. Provide backup support during absences of the Batch and Furnace Manager. Monitor and control Ardagh Group established procedures policies and quality standards utilized in glass melting refining and ingredients used in batches.
Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within Department responsibilities. A successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or an equitable combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience in a production andor union environment is preferred.
Knowledge of the methods and quality standards for glass making. Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a teambased environment. Must have excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills with good team dynamics and possess strong planning and organizational skills. Must have knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Applications.
Solution Design Expert – Batch Management
Utilize knowledge and experience in SAP ERP Modules to support the Novartis Quality business processes integrated in global supply chain. Develop system designs that adhere to high-level conceptual design for batch management and are traceable to functional as well as non-functional requirements in projects/enhancements.
Design solutions for quality management integrated with manufacturing, warehousing and supply chain business processes utilizing experience of SAP Production Planning (PP) and Warehouse management systems (WM). Design SAP integrated solutions for factories using LIMS (Lab Information Management Systems). Develop integration of Quality business processes in factories using MES (Manufacturing execution system). Ensure designs produced adhere to architectural roadmap for medical device and vision-care industry and support the development, execution and operations of solutions. Deliver design solutions in line with system design standards (Core/Template). Ensure that solutions meet requirements outlined and documented in SAP Solution Manager. Perform scoping, fit-gap workshops for projects/enhancements, propose solutions for key gaps, provide effort estimations and align with business teams for approvals in SAP Solution Manager.
Ensure that project/enhancement work is delivered to agreed time, cost and quality constraints following the release calendars in SAP CHARM (Change Request Manager). Ensure that developed solutions are peer reviewed, formally documented and signed off by business. Initiate solution testing to ensure these meet quality standards using HP Quality Center (HPQC). Follow standardized design and development processes to enable cost effective delivery. Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Solution Design scope.

M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer (Heavy Equipment Mechanic)
Technica is recruiting for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer) to work on a Government contract with a place of performance based out of Ft. Bliss, TX. This is a temporary position to support a Unit Maintained Equipment (UME) project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform Technical Inspections (TIs), verification inspections, preventive maintenance/repairs on the M1 Abrams Tank, automotive systems, and various light/heavy-wheeled vehicles.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions, performs field maintenance and on-board maintenance tasks on the suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, auxiliary power units, fire extinguisher / suppression systems, gas particulate systems, vehicular mounted armament, gun turret drive system and the fire control system. Replaces, repairs, adjusts/performs preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on diesel power plants/packs/units, compression engines, compression ignition engine fuel systems, compression ignition air induction systems, vehicle exhaust/liquid cooling systems, vehicle starting/charging systems, track vehicle hull electrical systems, standard/automatic transmission assemblies, cross-drive transmission assemblies, auxiliary drive assemblies, propeller shaft assemblies, air/hydraulic brake system, mechanical brake systems, track/wheel vehicle suspension systems, vehicle wheel/hub assemblies, mechanical/hydraulic steering systems, controlled differential steering systems, track vehicle hydraulic assemblies.
- Performs other duties assigned.
- Former Soldier with prior military occupational skill (MOS) 63A, 63T or 91A preferred.
- Formal training (completion of MOS 63A, 63T or 91A course conducted under the auspices of the USA Ordnance Center and School) or three to five years’ experience working on the M1 tank.
- Must have the ability to analyze and interpret US Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Must have the ability to verify serviceability of equipment, determine the economic reparability of the item and determine the extent of maintenance effort and repair parts required to restore the item to the prescribed serviceable condition.
- Must be familiar with DA Form 5988–E/DA Form 2404.
- Must be able to lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 70 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 40 pounds.
- Must be able to climb in and out of military vehicles and related equipment.
- Must be able to stand for at least two continuous hours
- Must be able to work in cramped areas for at least two continuous hours.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain NACI.
- Must be able to function with a basic level of English oral and written language skills

- As a Batch Mixer, you will perform batch mixing and dispensing of various cements consistent with work flow to meet company standards of safety, quality, quantity and work processes.
Weigh or measure appropriate quantities of cement and water using metric system.
Mix cement using motorized mixer for prescribed mixing time; then dispense cement to machine hoppers.
Conduct viscosity tests.
Wash mixing equipment and keep work area clean and orderly.
Periodically clean evacuation tanks of sediment flowing from mixing operation and replace collection bags.
Record information per quality procedures and work instructions.
Comply with the Company's Environmental, Safety, Quality Management, and 5S Program Standards.

Chemical Tank Maintenance Tech - 4Th Shift
As a Chemical Tank Maintenance Technician, your strong attention to detail and chemical safety orientation would play a key role in your success. We do prefer Industrial Waste Water and/or Metal Plating experience. We will train the right person and reimburse them for their Industrial Waste Water Treatment Operator classes and Certification costs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible to perform all preventative maintenance (PMs) on process lines and process baths. The position will work with the Quality Control Lab, Process Engineering, and Department Managers. The position will work directly with the waste water treatment plant.
Operates in accordance with all local, State, and Federal regulations.
Performs routine scheduled PMs which include the removal of spent baths, spent rinse water baths and the makeup of fresh baths (per instructions) and rinse baths.
Changes filters and performs mechanical PMs of the process lines.
Coordinate with the WWTP for the disposition of spent baths and spent rinse waters – for treatment by WWTP or containerization.
Manages hazardous waste generated as part of the PM process. Generates, accumulates, manifests, ships, and handles hazardous wastes generated in daily operations, as directed by the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.
Maintains and cleans all maintenance equipment ; repairs and replaces parts and equipment as required.
Works effectively and responsibly with others.
Drive a fork lift in a safe manner.
Responsible to be available and willing to be a facility sweeper and/or emergency responder.
All other assigned duties as required within the EHS organization.
Accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate, timely and ethical manner.
Enters work related assignment completion data in the system network (TruChem).
Communicates regularly to supervisors/managers, suggests procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors/managers safety hazards and issues.
Properly handle all virgin chemicals and dispose all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by the EHS department.

Batch process orders: Pull all the required raw materials for a given process order/ formula from the warehouse and place in designated set up area to be used by blender operators. You will be using the production systems SAP, CMS and MWS to perform these actions.
Pick and stage: you will move raw materials for orders throughout the Warehouse/Production departments while maintaining accurate account of all transactions.
