Batter Mix Operator
Job Description: Summary
This position is responsible for constant monitoring of the batter system. It requires the ability to operate and troubleshoot the batter equipment. This position is also responsible for maintaining the flume additives and for monitoring the starch slurry system.
Job Description
Individuals in this position must:
Follow all plant safety policies and procedures. Be actively involved in safety, participate in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members.
Understands how to look up QA Specifications for batter.
Understands product codes and labels on batter tickets and how to use manifest to track inventory.
Safely opens, handles and hangs batter bags.
Maintains dry batter hopper and auger levels as needed.
Assembles/Disassemble batter equipment when needed.
Communicates problems to appropriate personnel.
Maintains expected level of sanitation in work area.
Fills out paperwork as required.
Must have a good understanding of chemicals and the hazards associated with the processing area.
Performs assigned duties during cut changes and defrost as required.
Cleans under and around batter mix areas, and additive areas
Willing to learn additional Operator roles, in addition to job responsibilities for breaking purposes. Example: Fryer Operator
Must be able to use computer to enter checks with Military time
Must be able to operate various tools and equipment, including but not limited to: high pressure hose, flash lights, hot hose, shovels, scrapers, foaming system, brooms, squeegees, telephones, ladders (roll around stairs) , buckets, control panels/terminals , stein cups , stop watches and waste carts.
Monitor and control the amount of dextrose and salt added to the flume water supply tank to attain target color and salt content in the finished product.
Monitors and adjust sugar mix tank concentration as required.
Control starch recovery system in such a manner to maintain quality level and maximize recovery.
Startup and shutdown of all starch recovery equipment.
Understands how to look up QA Specifications for item being produced.
Communicates problems to appropriate personnel.
Maintains expected level of sanitation in work area.
Fills out paperwork as required.
Monitor and maintain starch baume and levels
Maintain efficiency of starch recovery system.
Must have a good understanding of chemicals and the hazards associated with the processing area.

Position Summary:
Responsible for upholding Earth Fare's Vision, Mission, Declaration and Customer Service Creed, and adhering to the departments Standard Operating Procedures. Works independently and in a team to ensure the daily baking of muffins, cookies, Danishes and croissants for the dry case and sales floor is completed based upon production guidelines. Will open and close the Bakery Department and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Adheres to the Earth Fare vision, standard operating procedures and merchandising guidelines, with a strong emphasis on customer service, safety and sanitation. Maintains a positive and professional work environment. (20%)
- Production: Decorates Cakes, sets and maintains baked goods case and sales floor to include product, signage, and rotation for freshness; provide customer service at bakery counter, to include case, bread shelf and floor maintenance. (40%)
- Operational Tasks: Provides excellent customer service at the bakery counter and other areas as needed. Turns ovens and other equipment on and off as required. Scoops batter for muffins, cookies and breakfast items to prepare for the following days production. Packages dry case items to move baked good to sales floor. Wraps pastry trays to ensure proper freshness and storage. Slices bread for customers as needed. Participates in scheduled inventory counts, attends required department and store meetings, and performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned by the Bakery Manager. (20%)
- Merchandising: Maintains an attractive sales floor by implementing Earth Fare merchandising guidelines as outlined by the Bakery Manager. (10%)

The Position
The City of Oakland is currently accepting applications to fill multiple Park Attendant, PT (Part-Time) vacancies within the Public Works Department or the Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Development.

The Parking Coordinator reports to the director and is involved in managing all aspects of the operations of the Parking Department. Installs and calibrates end devices such as pressure transducers, temperature transmitters and valve positioners;
Installs and maintains H2S analyzers, moisture analyzers, gas chromatographs, oxygen sensors, serial communication devices and connections;
Installs and maintains batteries, solar panels, thermal electric generators and batter charge controllers;
Maintains calibration and gas sampling equipment; and
May perform other duties in another classification, as directed.
Required Skills:
Intermediate computer skills including MS Word and Excel;
Intermediate mechanical and troubleshooting skills;
Ability to contribute in a team environment;
Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to adhere to predefined work plans and meet required deadlines; and
Basic knowledge of physical properties of gases and basic gas law, API Measurement Standards, DOT Part 192 regulations, industrial communication protocols and gas quality and conditioning preferred.
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or GED;
Entry level; Two years' experience in a related field preferred
2 year Associates Degree in Electronics or similar field preferred
Valid driver's license;
Ability and willingness to take callouts 24/7; and
Ability to pass a physical capabilities test (which includes, but is not limited to, lifting and carrying 70 lbs., walking 1/2 mile at various inclines, etc.) necessary to demonstrate the physical ability to perform the essential functions of this job.

Distribution Center Processor Seasonal
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To assist the DC management team in the daily operations including check in of shipments, maintenance, distribution/replenishment and special projects.
The Indians are looking for service minded teammates, who are committed to working together to help us create amazing memories for fans, each other and all visitors to Progressive Field.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Include but are not limited to:
Receiving
Ensure proper docking and sorting of incoming purchase orders and transfers.
Ensure receipt details are promptly attached to new orders.
Ensure all purchase orders are worked in the order of "first in – first out".
Manage the accuracy in counting the correct quantities while documenting vendor packing slips.
Ensure photos are taken of all new and current merchandise and loaded into Chain Drive.
Ensure merchandise and non-retail merchandise is counted, ticketed and folding standards are met and processed timely and accurately.
Ensure work area is organized and all paperwork is filed appropriately for ease of research.
Putaway
Ensure product is inventoried in bin locations accurately.
Ensure efficient bin space usage and maintain DC cleanliness during and after the putaway process.
Ensure reserve bin locations are properly identified with bin labels outlining product, bin location and SKU.
Distribution
Execute proper picking and packing of merchandise, supplies and non-retail items.
Ensure all send sales are processed and shipped accurately on a daily basis.
Ensure product quality meets the merchandising expectations.
Communicate merchandising needs/opportunities to DC management.
Operations/Loss Prevention
Ensure facility cleanliness is maintained on a daily basis.
Safety concerns or enhancements are communicated to DC managers.
Execute cycle counts and year end inventory with accuracy in pre-counts and scanning.
Additional daily tasks per the delegation of DC management.

Prior retail experience strongly preferred, but not required.
Required to be available to work 100% jewel events (All-Star Game, etc.) home baseball games.
Previous exposure to warehouse or inventory preferred, but not required.
Required to work irregular hours as the business dictates.
Occasional game-day duties as dictate by job responsibilities and workload.
Effective communication with both co-workers and guests.
Ability to work with multicultural populations and a commitment to fairness and equality.
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching and lifting.
Ability to lift and transport items up to 55 lbs.
