Duties and Responsibilities: Create test regimens for components and assemblies within scope of the project and organization. Track projects to ensure adherence to schedule and the Milwaukee process.

Work with and establish trusting relationships with engineers throughout Asia and the world. Design, prototype, test and troubleshoot embedded electronics including hardware and firmware. Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, e-loads and data acquisition systems.
Design to and qualify new designs to applicable regulatory standards such as UL, CEC, CE and ANSI. Provide engineering support on low to mid-level complexity projects. Battery & Charger Design:
Design, prototype and test switched mode power supplies and lithium-ion batteries containing embedded electronics including hardware and firmware under the supervision of senior engineers. Troubleshoot switched mode power supply and lithium-ion battery embedded electronics down to the component level. Develop and apply a manufacturing mindset to designs in order to effectively and efficiently mass produce products.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field. 2+ years of experience in related design field. Excellent problem solving skills and a hands-on attitude.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Power Point. Ability to travel 10% of the time is required (travel includes Domestic and International). High interest in tools of the trade. Good understanding of C programming, especially relating to microcontroller peripherals and related development tools and processes.
Good understanding of analog and digital system tradeoffs and design, especially related to signal integrity and noise analysis. Familiarity with using schematic capture, PCB layout software, SPICE and knowledge of industry best practices. Battery & Charger Design Application and evaluation of microcontrollers.
Working knowledge of communications protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, serial, USB). Familiarity of switched mode power supplies including EMC, magnetics, and power semiconductors preferred. Description: Penske Logistics is now hiring a Battery Changer for their Maintenance Department servicing all material handling equipment in our warehouse. Come and be a part of our team! This is a second shift position working 4 days/10 hour shifts.
11:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Conducts the removal and replacement of lift batteries safely. Operates Hydra-Handler Sled.
Maintains and repairs battery cable insulation and connectors. Conducts daily/weekly Preventative Maintenance and completes daily log sheet. Monitors battery charger status & exercises corrective action as required.
Monitors Battery De-ionizer and takes corrective action. Disposes of Hazardous Materials in accordance with established OSHA procedures. Checks and maintains water levels in batteries.
Uses multi meter to check battery voltages. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Provides stand by relief as needed.
Utilizes and maintains the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Verifies all safety switches are functional at all times. Performs any and all job related duties as directed. Other projects or tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous Battery/Charger maintenance and repair experience preferred but not required. Good Communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse group of associates.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (Hi-lift, RC, Pallet Jacks, etc.). Considerable knowledge of safety practices. Ability to use a variety of hand tools and multi meters. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Occasionally lift and carry up to 80lbs. Occasionally climb ladders or use lift equipment to a height in excess of 28 ft. Manual dexterity in hands, arms and legs to use tools, bend, stoop, stand and stretch.

The DC Battery Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing periodic maintenance, repair, replacement and limited troubleshooting on batteries; in accordance to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. Ensure all protective equipment is worn at all times when working with batteries (face shield with splash guard, safety glasses, apron and acid-resistant gloves).
Ensure all safety/hazardous precautions are followed for battery changing procedures, battery washing procedures and neutralizing chemical spills.
Responsible for all distribution center batteries, which includes monitoring and trending, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. A daily checklist must be maintained and complete. i. Observe and/or test the adjustments, repairs or modifications to ensure safe operation.
Responsible for logging time and materials, maintaining work orders, PMs and inventory tracking into computerized maintenance management system/software.
Assist material handling equipment (MHE) maintenance in repairs, and preventive maintenance, to ensure forklifts/MHE are operational.
Assist conveyor maintenance in repairs and preventive maintenance, to ensure productivity is not compromised during peak periods.
Assist general maintenance in performing building maintenance repair to various systems, including electrical, plumbing, fire safety, dock doors, rack installations, etc.
Maintain spare parts inventory, order replacements, and prepare routine updates to maintenance records and reports.
Responsible for the operation of the distribution center's sweeper scrubber.
Perform other general maintenance tasks as assigned. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 1 year of distribution or manufacturing maintenance experience is desired.
