Assembles parts by bolting and riveting
Documents completed repairs not indicated on original repair estimate and assists in completing applicable supplemental repair estimates
Completes FHWA inspections and documents when required
May assist with reefer repairs with supervision
May handle, repair, and replace tire and wheel components as necessary
Applies decals/stenciling on equipment
Operate appropriate powered industrial equipment as necessary
Responsible for clean up and/or other depot maintenance as necessary
Acts as a spotter and fire watcher as needed

Waterloo, IA Duration: 24 months Description Description: Provides entry level sourcing, Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) support to include development and execution/enforcement of strategies and contracts for commodities of lower value and less complexity. Works with Strategic Sourcing to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validation of suppliers during early supplier selection process as part of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP). Monitors Battery De-ionizer and takes corrective action. Disposes of Hazardous Materials in accordance with established OSHA procedures. Checks and maintains water levels in batteries.
Uses multi meter to check battery voltages. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Provides stand by relief as needed.
Utilizes and maintains the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Verifies all safety switches are functional at all times. Performs any and all job related duties as directed. Other projects or tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

The person whom fills this position will become an integral team member of Experimental Engineering who is tasked with the development of airplane models and new technologies intended for evaluation on next generation of Cirrus aircraft. The primary role of a Finishing Technician is the generation of the tooling package needed to create the airplane composite components along with all aspects relating to the interior and exterior of Cirrus airplanes. These efforts would include generating low volume composite molds, painting of components and new model airplanes, and fabrication and installation of interior components. The candidate must be well versed in the use of tools such as primer/paint guns, sanders, grinders, buffers, and numerous simple hand tools. Candidates filling this role must excel in a highly diverse team environment as well as be proficient enough to work independently and able to trouble shoot when problems arise. Applicants must have a high attention to detail and a strong desire to continually learn new fabrication and assembly methods. Essential Duties:
Familiarity with the processes tied to generating low volume tooling including hand layup, pattern sanding, application of gelcoat, and spraying primer and paint.
