We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Refrigeration Engineer Helper.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for performing the duties peculiar to and normally required in, the operation of all plant pumping equipment, following accepted procedures and techniques in conformance with N.Y.U. Langone requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible for updating logs and documentation on a daily basis. Maintains shift and equipment logs in a clear and concise manner. Provides guidance and direction regarding trade techniques when instructed to work with an assigned helper.
Orders supplies and equipment through manager, to maintain adequate stock for daily operation and planned activities. Emergency response.
Assists other mechanics when needed. Maintains a shop inventory to provide adequate supplies to perform continued maintenance of Medical Center. Estimates materials needed and record time and material expended on each work order.
Maintains appropriate records, inventories, etc. Acquires and maintains overall knowledge of facility operations and reports status to management.
Ensures equipment is operating according to given schedule. Operates various operational software associated with existing automation systems. Knowledge of NYUs Medical Centers emergency procedure and coordinates information with other shops, clients, and management during emergencies such as floods, fire alarms.
This includes interaction with outside municipal agencies (i.e. Fire Department, etc.) as necessary.
Equipment Operations and Maintenance. Operates, repairs, tests and maintains all types of refrigeration engineering equipment (ex.
Centrifical, split casing, end suction, vertical, vacuum and vacuum condensate pumps). Properly aligns motors, pumps, shafts, gearboxes and couplings. Properly repack pump seals and change mechanical seals.
Operates, repairs, tests and maintains all pumping equipment, using necessary hand tools and testing equipment. Operates, repairs, tests and maintains all types of refrigeration engineering equipment (ex.
Centrifical, split casing, end suction, vertical, vacuum and vacuum condensate pumps). Properly aligns motors, pumps, shafts, gearboxes and couplings. Properly repack pump seals and change mechanical seals.
To qualify you must have a Possesses a N.Y.C. fire department unlimited refrigeration permit. Has minimum of five to ten years in operation and maintenance of electric and centrifugal refrigeration equipment, absorption refrigeration equipment, pumps, cooling towers, H.V.A.C. systems, chiller plant control systems, standpipe, sprinklers systems and fire alarm systems in a similar size facility.
Demonstrates leadership and interpersonal skills. Previous foreman or supervisory experience is required. Must have five years experience in this field.
Trade or vocational school graduation shall reduce the above requirements to four years. New York Fire Department Certificate of Qualification for refrigerating system operation. New York Fire Department Certificate of Fitness of the following:
Standpipe Systems (F- 10); Sprinkler Systems (F-18); Bulk Gas Storage (G-17). The above three licenses must be obtained before the expiration of the probationary period. New York State E.P.A. Pesticide Applicator License (G-7) to be obtained within one year of employment. If not in possession of the Pesticide Applicator License, must be willing to attend course and pass examination.

With limited supervision, operates both air and vacuum furnaces to melt various metal alloys used in making investment castings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Works from melt schedules and other instructions to melt various alloys in preparation for pouring into molds.
Follows set process control procedures.
Regulates burnout furnace, molten metal temperatures per requirements.
Checks all gauges and instruments for proper functions.

Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for packaging finished product, labeling product, & preparing product for delivery or warehousing. Job Description *
ZACHRY is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright helper for new our Unimin Calico Frac Sand Plant located in Crane, TX.
A Millwright Helper will assist with the installation, assembly, dismantling, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery being installed in a new plant. They will work on construction of a heat recovery exchange generator (HRSG), Gas and steam turbines, large industrial generators, and other miscellaneous machinery involved with the construction of a new plant.
Must be able to meet all physical demands – see below.
Must have experience using industrial hand tools and power tools
Must have tools – see tool list attachment
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days as needed
Works with industry-specific and high complex precision machines including but not limited to: ball mills, ID fans, lube coil skids, turbines, conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, compressors etc.
Uses precision leveling and alignment tools in order to measure angles, material thickness and small distances with calipers, squares, micrometers, optical instruments and other tools.
Assist with fitting bearings, align gears and wheels, attach motors and connect belts according to manufacturer's blueprints and drawings
Assist with the dismantling of machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools
Assist with the Assembly and installation of equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails
Assists with the Assembly of machines using bolts, welds, rivets and fastens machinery to foundations or other structures using hand tools and power tools.
Operates engine lathes, grinders and files.
May assist with construction of foundations for machinery
Assist with, and Fabricates and installs parts, equipment and machinery by measuring, cutting, drilling and/or welding
Assist with alignments, turning of machine parts to dimensional specifications
Assist with the unloading, inspecting, moving and setting of equipment into position using cranes, hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks
Uses rigging and hoisting devices such as chokers, chain falls and come alongs to move equipment / materials into place
Conducts preventative maintenance such as lubrication and fixing or repairing worn parts.

- This position does not have any direct reports.
Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.
Will talk and hear to communicate.
Must have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls.
Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off of platforms.
Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision.
Must be capable of working out side in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for long period of times up to 12 hours a day.
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
