As a YRC Freight City Driver/Dock Worker, you'll be responsible for safely driving trucks and trailers to pick up and deliver freight to and from various locations as well as loading/unloading freight from trailers. A casual works on an as needed, on call basis with no set schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating a tractor-trailer to pick up and deliver freight within a defined area
Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor/trailer(s) and when stopped en route
Dropping and hooking trailer(s) and changing equipment configurations as necessary
Loading and unloading freight from trailers using various lifting methods including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
Preparing, inspecting, and cleaning trailers before loading freight
Reviewing freight bills for special instructions and inspecting freight for damage
- Competitive pay based on union scale
21 years of age or older
Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Double/Triple, Tanker and Hazardous Material endorsements
One year of tractor-trailer driving experience

Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, presses, grinders and cutting machines, which are manual and computer controlled.
Uses these machines to fabricate parts and components, and verify conformance of the machined parts to specifications.
Lifts machined parts, tools, molds, and plates. Positions and secures these parts on surface plate or worktable.
Assembles, disassembles and cleans molds, dies and components.
Fits and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms.
Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances with precision measuring instruments.
May perform polishing, heat treating, or welding on tools or components.
May connect electrical wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical, hydraulic and / or air components.
Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function.
Develops specifications from general descriptions, for specialty tools. May draw or utilize 2D or 3D computer aided designs for layout.
Leads and/or supports TS and ISO 14001 Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities.
Carries out basic machine maintenance.
Personal Tool Box required.
4-6 years in the machining field with knowledge of programming CNC's with Mastercam software. Experience in Solidworks would be a plus.
Knowledge of CAD and good computer skills.
An understanding of the properties of materials.

Journeyman Tool & Die Maker
The incumbent provides specific diversified components, tooling, and assemblies to meet engineering and testing requirements by planning and performing various complex and technical machine tool functions with limited supervision.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position requires sufficient professional Tool Room experience of all machinery such that skills can be employed to perform complex layouts and machine tool setups for the purpose of producing, adjusting, repairing, heat-treating tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, and machine components of very tight tolerances. The incumbent must have an aptitude to learn Numeric Control (NC/CNC) or similar programming of complex machinery for the purpose of producing machined parts.
The position will primarily be responsible for test group machining support with limited supervision. Responsibilities include the ability to produce make-to-print items, assemble various tooling projects and electro-mechanical assemblies, and perform design/development on the fly without the aid of prints. The Test Group is a service organization; therefore, the incumbent must be able to setup and operate all Tool Room equipment with minimal (if any) assistance, must have a high level of communication to insure critical jobs are done as expected by the customer, and will be required to contribute to process/capital/tooling improvements necessary to maintain a viable Tool Room service.
Plans the correct material, equipment, tooling, and processes to produce make-to-print items.
Performs work required to produce/fit/repair items utilizing Tool Room equipment and processes.
Performs setup, operation, and troubleshooting of all Tool Room equipment with minimal limited supervision or guidance.

Performs work that involves a high mental application and close visual attention for extended periods of time with the possibility of exposure to hazardous conditions.
Possesses an understanding of complex engineering product and assembly prints, mathematics up to and including advanced trigonometry, and basic electricity/electrical circuitry.

Tool & Die Maker
The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for disassembling, troubleshooting and repairing dies and injection molds. We are currently hiring for 3rd Shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11pm to 7am.
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
Read and understand blueprints and sketche
Reverse engineer broken parts and build replacement parts
Set-up and operate machine tools such as drill press, lathe, milling machine and surface grinder
Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components
Examine, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on molds & dies
Ability to troubleshoot and repair hot runner and valve gate systems

This position will be assigned to various production related tasks, which includes product manufacturing, product filling, and shipping related functions. This position is responsible for assisting the production team successfully achieve its goals and objectives
Major tasks include:
Advocate and practice the principals of the Safety program
Participate in plant safety committee meetings and activities
Operate paint making control systems
Operate manufacturing equipment such as HSD's, pumps and valves
Operate packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers, etc.
Unloading of dry and liquid materials
Loading of trucks with finished goods
Monitor quality or product in manufacturing and packaging areas to include OTMIS (off the mill in spec), cycles, fill levels, package appearance, fill weights, and raw material certificate of analysis
Use floor computers for reporting unsafe conditions, calling up order numbers, etc.
Reading and following instructions in all areas of the production floor, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, receiving, etc.

Using various Tool and Die Maker's hand tools and precision measuring instrument, works to very close tolerances, heat-treating metal parts and finished tools and dies to achieve required qualities, and fitting and assembling parts to prescribed tolerances and allowances.

Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of the working properties of the common metals, selecting standard materials, parts, and equipment required for this work.
Experience & Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Six (6) or more years' experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
Experience with 2 and 3 axis Proto-Trac Milling Machine Programmer.
Previous aviation experience on fabrication of aircraft critical structural components.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment

Must be eligible for a security clearance if required.
