The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Manager serves as continuous improvement (CI) leader for the Insight locations. Looks for opportunities to recognize and publicize the accomplishments of assigned Black Belts, Green Belts and Trainees.
May lead projects independently or with the help of a Black Belt(s).
Stays current with Company Six Sigma initiatives, new processes, and quality improvement tools and techniques.
Collaborates with Project Champions and other MBBs to develop and evolve Six Sigma training materials, classes, workshops, tools and method
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics or the Sciences. Strong math and statistical capability.
Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Six Sigma Methodology
Additional Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced degree in Business, Operations, Engineering
Comprehends a wide variety of manufacturing and transactional processes in different operating environments
Ability to coach/mentor and influence the behavior and skills of others while not taking the authority or confidence away from those whom they coach. Derives personal satisfaction from the success of others rather than or in healthy balance with their own individual accomplishments.
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Coaching and developing Black Belts – can effectively lead management groups through identifying high impact improvement projects.
Previous success leading Black Belts projects and teams. The capacity to teach others and be seen as approachable, helpful and supportive by Black Belts, Green Belts, Trainees and Champions.
A strong interest in process and quality improvement and an ability and willingness to provide leadership to the Six Sigma initiative.
Possesses sufficient business experience to allow him/her to understand and contribute on involved projects spanning cross-functional teams.
