The Performance Excellence Black Belt supporting the MPS division will lead multiple process improvement teams concurrently utilizing the Lean-Six Sigma Methodology to measurably improve operational and/or business processes. Must work effectively with leadership and the financial community to translate sustainable process improvements into budgeted financial improvements (net productivity impact). May be required to coach and/or support Green Belts and Part Time Black Belts on their kaizen or DMAIC projects. What you need to succeed:
BS/BA required; Engineering degree preferred

Elavon is currently seeking a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Process Improvement Project Leader to be a change agent, who will be responsible for building a culture of waste elimination by analyzing the effectiveness of business processes then developing and executing action plans to achieve optimal future state to reduce costs, streamline processes, and enhance overall customer experience. This position is a fundamental part of our cross-functional team located in a fast-paced transactional environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong facilitator with proven process improvement experience in various processes spanning the business.
It will also be necessary to be a strong project leader, facilitating office process kaizen and value stream mapping activities with groups that may be unfamiliar with Lean tools. He/she will need to influence and motivate project teams that span multiple departments and locations. Equally important will be simultaneously managing multiple enterprise continuous improvement (CI) projects from project definition through sustainment of improvements. Additional responsibilities include:
Works with Elavon's CI team in the development, implementation, and sustainment of a CI Strategy to drive a CI mindset throughout the organization and deliver tangible improvements in business performance;
Generates a minimum of $5 million in incremental revenue, cost savings, or process efficiency impact per calendar year;
Leads team on executing on existing CI initiatives and new ones identified by various business lines or Business Intelligence;
Quickly establishes credibility, influences project teams, and persuades professionals at all levels;
Collaborates with U.S. Bank CI Executive Team to ensure business line alignment;
Produces monthly KPIs and Steering Deck for senior leaders;
Supports the roadmap documentation of "as is" and future process;
Facilitates strategic Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Quick Hit projects from definition through execution;
Coordinates cross-functional resources for these events and communicates the results throughout the business;
Provides multiple what-if scenarios to find best solution to achieve future state and maintains well rounded understanding of financial impacts of these scenarios;
Develops and executes action plans, tracks project progress, establishes appropriate metrics, and reports on progress, achievements, and results, which includes executive-level reporting, management updates, and best practice(s) sharing throughout the organization;
Ensures changes are fully integrated through follow-up, perseverance, and consistency;
Selects and executes appropriate lean tools depending on situation -- VSM, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, JIT, Kanban, Visual Management, Pull systems, DMAIC, PFMEA, Root cause, 8D, and 5-why analysis, etc.;
Develops and delivers Lean training to all levels of the organization as needed; and
Builds the skills of all functional leaders and associates through hands-on interactions and personal mentoring in lean management tools.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent years of directly-related experience in Lean/Continuous Improvement roles
Eight-plus years of experience with business process improvement
Previous facilitator and coaching experiences where problem solving, process development, and/or behavior change methods and tools have been used
Strong proficiency in Lean principles, such as Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen
PMP Certification or similar (five) years of project management experience
Highly-proficient using Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint
