What you need to succeed:
BS/BA required; Engineering degree preferred

The Role: The Black Belt is responsible for understanding the current process state, identifying efficiency/improvement opportunities, then leading cross-functional team members to drive process improvements tied to Key Performance Indicators of the business utilizing Lean Sigma principles. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
8+ years diverse work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
4+ years work experience in Lean Six Sigma process application.
Trained in Lean Six Sigma Principles (Five S's, Waste Reduction, Error/Mistake Proofing, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, KAIZEN, Lead Time Reduction).
Strong analytical skills and deep process orientation
Experience in developing various process documentation (SOP, ISO, etc).

Objective: Belt grind parts to tech card tolerances with out part mutilation and at acceptable rates to meet department goals.
A. Review tech cards and belt grind parts to required tolerances while applying pre-determined best practices.

The primary objective of the Plant Black Belt is to lead the Lean Six Sigma improvement process. Through this, the Plant Black Belt will ensure process improvements, productivity improvements, and cost reductions. Job Duties: This section describes the principle responsibilities of the position.
/ lead cross-functional project teams through all aspects of the
continuous improvement process utilizing the tools of the CIP to improve
quality, cycle time, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
Manage the sites capex budget and expenditures.
Continuous Improvement Process by training and mentoring Green Belt,
Yellow Belt, and Lean Practitioner candidates within their respective
facility and others as appropriate to the needs of the business.
Full-time Black Belt expected to complete a minimum of five Continuous
Improvement projects per year.
Share best practices throughout Flowserve worldwide. Support the development of project backlog and prioritization.
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
