The Press Brake Set Up/Operator will be responsible for performing all phases of the press brake operation. This will include set up, programing and loading/unloading parts.
Sets up work from order or prints according to job requirements as directed by the Supervisor and/or Group Leader.
As required, enters program into the machine.
Uses precision measuring instruments to check work. Performs first piece inspection to double check dimensions and tolerances before proceeding with remainder of order. Continues to inspect parts as order is being run.
As required, positions machines in relation to the appropriate axis as planned in programming.
Sets stops for depth and angles.
Removes finished parts from machine, counts and places on skid.
Transports materials as needed using forklift.
Performs necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.
Responsible for basic maintenance of tools in work area.
Performs other duties within the scope of the job assignments as directed by the Supervisor or Group Leader.
Meets department quality, attendance and productivity requirements.

The Wilmington GPS group is looking for a full-time Press Operator to assist with daily production on our Goss HO presses. The work includes preparing the presses for production, operating the presses or any of their components, cleaning the presses and the pressroom, maintaining the mechanical readiness of the presses, and other duties as assigned. Every member of the pressroom staff constantly strives to achieve the following goals, and the contribution of every press operator is necessary for success:
Optimum quality of printed products.
Observance of all scheduled start and stop times.
Conservation of material resources, especially newsprint.
A clean and safe working environment.
This position requires a high school education or equivalent. Three years' experience in web offset printing is desirable, although production experience of any kind may be helpful.
Mechanical ability and familiarity with computers is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to adapt to change, prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, remain flexible and interact with people while demonstrating patience. You must be able to lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to push/pull up to 2000 pounds. A press operator spends most working hours on his/her feet. In addition to long periods of standing, a press operator is required to climb stairs on the six-level press structure.
Operators engaged in press maintenance and some cleaning activities will be required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. They often work in confined areas. Color vision is required.
This position is full-time shift work, which may include scheduled nights, weekends, and holidays.

Our team is currently seeking a skilled professional to support Production and Hydraulic Press Operator for our fast-paced refractory brick operation in York, PA. Our successful team members are self-starters who can work independently without direct supervision. This position runs a heavy tonnage hydraulic press and robotic system that supports the brick manufacturing process. The presses are the first step in creating our molded brick products.
$21.00/HR + $1.50 shift/$1.60 weekend differential
Following a probationary period, our team members can test into advanced pay levels where the average pay for a Production position is: $24.36 + differentials = approx. $55,000/yr
2nd shift or 3rd shift positions are available; our schedules require some scheduled work during weekends.
Work safely in a heavy industrial facility when performing brick processing work. Heavy physical labor is required in this department and safety is our first priority.
Operate heavy tonnage hydraulic press including setting die/mold in place properly, follow press set up instructions carefully and accurately, ensure robotic systems are set up and in good working order, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on the press or robotic systems as instructed.
Safely maintain a constant rate of production and alert other departments if there is a need for shut down, delay or maintenance on the press.
Follow charts, schedules, data sheets and instructions carefully and accurately for production orders, product specifications, maintenance, systems checks, quality guidelines and data entry into our electronic production management system.
Accurately record production completion times, piece counts, brick weights, and delay times for each shift.

This position safely and effectively follows work orders and/or prints to prepare belt for fabrication, fill and place molds in correct patterns, adjust and operate vulcanizing presses and ensure products meet quality and visual standards.This is a second shift position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret press operation orders and blue prints.
Locate and gather materials, molds/tooling and supplies needed.
Load belt onto roller correct side up and secure it to feeder table.
Prepare belt by either using a template or measuring and marking it before grinding the application design, if not automated.
Paint ground surfaces with adhesive.
Measure and cut extrusion rubber and load molds with it.
Place the molds on the adhesion at the same angle until the length of the belt to be vulcanized is full.
Set blocking bars and sheets within the press to ensure even pressure during operation.
Set up, adjust and operate various vulcanizing presses for correct pressure, heat and time.
Complete press production records.
At the end of the press cycle, advance the belt and remove bars, sheets, molding, etc.
Repeat steps for the length of the belt.
Cut off overlapping lengths of applications and remove extra flash and markings.
Square the ends of the belt, as needed.
Tag the product with the work order number and take it to order fulfillment or packaging area.
Close out orders in the computer system.
Maintain a clean, organized work area.
Perform upkeep on tools.
