Surveys and Quotes

Define and lead the implementation of the City's User Experience (UX) practices, and establish partnerships with other IT and City teams to encourage and facilitate adoption across the enterprise.

- Bachelor's degree in a computer science, human-computer interaction, human factors, engineering, business or information technology field.
- Seven (7) year experience in web design and development with a portfolio of web and/ or mobile applications and demonstrated experience with user centered design and digital product development processes.
- Three (3) years of the required experience must have been in a leadership capacity which must have included development of budgets and contracts, as well as supervision of vendors and technical staff. (This experience may be included in the required experience above).
- An associate's degree in any field plus nine (9) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.

Communications and Information Systems, IT Manager, Sr. (Digital Experience & Design): The Sr. IT Manager of Digital Experience & Design is responsible for collaboratively defining, creating, and evolving the City's user experience throughout the digital and mobile ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this senior position will play a critical role in creating intuitive and engaging experiences for Dallas residents, businesses, and visitors while serving as a digital thought leader and champion, developing processes, tools, and libraries to support ongoing experience development. Also In this role, the Sr. IT Manager will work with project managers, developers, and business leadership to understand business goals, generate user insights, and translate business and user needs into highly engaging digital experiences. Lake Terminal Evening Shift Supervisor:
Directs and coordinates activities of all hourly employees during a shift. Monitor and assigns work as needed, appraises performance, and resolves problems. Ensures all work is performed in a safe manner in an industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of all personnel on shift / in the Plant
Thorough understanding of all Standard Operations Procedures
Communicating with and managing all persons in the Plant
Continuous upkeep and update on all safety procedures
Fully comply and follow the Union Collective Bargaining Agreement
Supervise Crew members, Senior Product Technicians and other hourly employees
Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products; including coordination of all activities necessary, per Turn, to ensure coal can be delivered when needed by IHO, and that all necessary conveyor belts and mobile equipment are ready for the following shift
Report, investigate and communicate all accidents, incidents and problematic issues with the proper personnel
Prepares operational and staffing schedules to coordinate manufacturing activities,
Per Turn, completes and reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
Directs the inspection of equipment
Ability to work 8, 10, 0r 12 hour evening shifts
Engage the hourly workforce in a manner that discourages the need for third party representation
Coordinate production activities with other departments and personnel as necessary to maximize operations in a safe and environmentally compliant manner, within budget and according to customer needs.
Work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned such as weekly payroll backup
Basic Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot bottlenecks, conveyor belts and loading/unloading of conveyor belts
Fosters quality and safety focus in others
Possess a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Provides regular performance feedback to subordinates and develops subordinates skills/knowledge to encourage growth
Prepare the Plant for the next Turn assuring readiness to be operational

Making the necessary adjustments to quickly respond to break downs
Managing overtime and calling people in to work overtime as needs require
Open communication with customer regarding production and coordinating efforts assuring smooth transition of product (COAL)
Acts as Operations Manager while on "Back" Shifts
Ability to coordinate cross functionally and externally to our partners and contractors as needed
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / WORK EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred but not a deal breaker
Must have at least 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a Union environment
Must know how to operate heavy equipment and or industrial equipment
Valid driver's license (for driving company vehicle on plant site)

This role is responsible for directing lean initiatives for the site and developing / deploying TEOA to drive flawless execution with tools and methods that are flexible, reliable, responsive and sustained. The ideal candidate will be a certified Lean Black Belt or Master Black Belt and will be responsible for driving change to meet defined metrics and organization goals including implementation of lean six sigma principles and philosophies through hands-on training and teaching and applying appropriate Lean tools: e.g., 5S, visual factory, process mapping, continuous improvement tools including SMED and Kaizen, material flow, etc. The successful candidate will have a history of leading change and producing documented improvements in plant costs and quality.
The TEOA system ensures a safe work environment, drives quality improvements, provides premier customer service, develops a qualified workforce, and reduces operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvement in the site systems. Partners with the Site Leadership team to oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual operational and financial expectations.
Assume the lead role in the site's TEOA process implementation – lead process improvement projects and facilitate team projects/mentor team members who are leading process improvement projects
