Assistant Store Manager Sales Bench
The ASM Sales is primarily responsible for managing and driving sales and margin in alignment with the financial plan of the retail store by managing a sales team that develops customer relationships, pursues sales opportunities, and ultimately closes sales. The ASM Sales has accountability for managing and driving overall sales in the following areas:
In-Store ProServices, Installed Sales, Special Order Sales, In Home Project Sales, Extended Protection Plans (EPP), and Credit. In addition, the ASM Sales may be expected to provide full leadership over the store at any point in absence of the Store Manager.
The ASM Sales is responsible for building and developing (includes recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring and coaching) a professional and talented sales organization that provides the desired customer experience while maximizing sales, margin, close rates and average ticket. As the sales leader in the store and subject matter expert on Lowe s selling model, the ASM Sales must have extensive knowledge of sales techniques and be able to teach others the critical skills needed to be effective sales associates at Lowe s.
Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week; physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise; physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Bachelor s degree and 1 year of experience leading a high-performing sales team with direct reporting responsibility OR 3 years of experience leading a high-performing sales team with direct reporting responsibility
1 year of experience in retail, business to business, and/or in-home sales
1 year of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Ria is looking for a Territory Manager to join our team in the Southeast region and ideally be based in Birmingham or Huntsville, Alabama. This position will play a key role in increasing our market and Ria brand. As a Territory Manager, you will report directly to the Regional Manager and primarily be responsible for managing our agent network, growing transaction volume and successfully selling to potential agents. The ideal candidate will and be fluent in English and Spanish to support our business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Spend a majority of the time (70%) recruiting new agents and (30%) developing existing ones within assigned territory
- Manage the entire sales process from identifying prospects, cold calling, face to face meetings, product/ service demonstration to the vetting process of a potential agent
- Actively and successfully manage the sign-up, set-up and training of an agent in our money remittance platform and compliance
- Provide new and existing agents with standard merchandising and POS material
- Regularly call on agency decision-makers and personnel to train, monitor product/consumer dynamics and develop strong relationships with agents to ensure long term loyalty to the company
- Make fact-based recommendations on product pricing and commission
- Execute both self-conceived and assigned marketing plans to support transaction growth
- Analyze market data and company reports to address, reinforce, or correct market and/or agency performance trends and capitalize on market opportunities
- Support various departments at headquarters to ensure that agents comply with policies and procedures
- Secure and forward marketplace/competitive reconnaissance to senior management
- Associates, Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years of successful outside sales experience
- 1-2 years of experience in outside sales, business developments and account management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
- Must possess experience in cold calling, product demonstration and selling products or services
- Ability to travel within assigned territory daily, have a valid driver license, reliable transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the company and state law
- Must possess basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
- The key characteristics this individual must possess are strong interpersonal skills, works well under no supervision, self-motivated and time management
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior money transfer or money service business experience
- Ability to work from home and travel to assigned territory daily
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time as a driver in an automobile
- Ability to visit businesses and work in tight places to install equipment
- Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds
