The Undersea Systems Office (USO) of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State is seeking an Electrical Engineer, with a specialty in PCB Design. This individual will create Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout designs using Altium Designer.
Designs will range from high speed digital to analog to power. Responsibilities include: evaluating relevant design requirements for product realization; working with electrical circuit designers; performing analysis as required to confirm design compliance; supporting other analysis functions ie: structural and thermal as required to establish PCB design compliance; write PCB test plans and procedures. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
IPC Designer certification highly desired. Preferred experience includes: proficiency with the Team Center and NX; prior experience with electronics bench testing, assembly, test equipment, firmware/software Familiarity with version control beneficial. Printed Circuit Board (Pcb) Designer
The PCB Designer will be responsible for producing PCB fabrication and assembly designs and design documentation for automotive, HVOR, and industrial sensors.
- The PCB Designer (Designer) will be responsible for PCB fabrication and PCB assembly design and related documentation, including ECAD project file data management, ECO processing, BOM support, and documentation control activity in support of sustaining engineering, derivative design, and new product design of various sensor products.
The Designer will primarily interface with internal Design Engineering customers and design peers, as well as drafters, Bill-of-Material specialists, and Document Control. The Designer will be expected to transform Design Engineering inputs into detailed design models and drawings while applying standards and best practices of industry (ex. IPC, ASME Y14 series), business unit, supplier, and department. Expertise will be demonstrated in core department competencies: design, CAD, drafting, document control (ECO, PDM, PLM), and product configuration management (BOM).
The Designer will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail will be required.
Design PCBs using flexible, rigid, and ceramic PCB substrates
Create and maintain ECAD design models, drawings, and engineering specifications in accordance with relevant standards
Support peers via design sharing and ECAD/MCAD exchange via robust PDM of data sets
Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO) per quality and delivery expectations
Multi-task and work with engineers and designers to manage priorities
Document schematics with inputs from Electrical Engineering team

However, as a broad-based group of stakeholders, the TAB serves a critical role in giving the Mayor, Council and staff invaluable community perspective that will help shape current and future policy and financial decisions affecting transportation in our community.

The board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the mayor and city council, as the tourism board, to be distinguished from the city's lodging tax advisory committee, established by city ordinance codified under Chapter 2.76 ACC, and pursuant to RCW 67.28.1817. (Ord. 6041 § 1, 2006.)
The tourism board is created to assist the city council formulate strategies for tourism-related activities, projects and programs geared to promote the city of Auburn as a tourist destination, and enhance the ability of local businesses to serve the needs of tourists and the tourist industry in Auburn.
Regular meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM at Auburn City Hall in Council Chambers.
Urban Tree Board
(Chapter 2.43 Auburn City Code)
Through education and involvement, the Tree Board of the City of Auburn provides information and advocacy for "choosing the right tree for the right place," helping Citizens understand the value of proper pruning techniques and in managing an urban forest that is ever changing and needs to fit into the environment of this community. Board emphasis is on trees in public rights-of-way and on City-owned property. The Board is made up of seven members who serve three-year terms.
Regular meetings of the Board are held the first Tuesday of each month in the Parks Admin Building at 910 9th St. SE, Auburn.
White River Valley Museum Board
Serving on this board, you will help raise funds to support Museum programs, develop policies for White River Valley Museum operations and management of collections, and oversee long-term plans for the Museum and Mary Olson Farm. Board membership is comprised of nine members elected by the general membership of the Historical Society, and eight members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
Regular meetings of the Board are held the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the White River Valley Museum, Muckleshoot Room, located at 918 H St SE, Auburn. Most board members also serve on a committee which may required an hour of additional monthly service.

Printer Circuit Board (Pcb) Inspector
Working with IPG Photonics, you can expect interesting tasks and challenging projects, as well as a motivating and friendly environment. You will be working with teams that influence the future of laser technologies.
Our inspector position requires detail and precision. This position carries high level of responsibility and decision making skills that directly influence daily production quota.
Experience working with Printed Circuit boards (PCB) required
Rework and modifications of PCBs
Soldering of PCBs preferred
Comfortable sitting for long periods of time
Ability to work with microscopes and small pieces on a regular basis
Record and count defects and report to manager accordingly
Focus on a detailed task for a long period of time and demonstrate visual accuracy with small delicate parts
Must have good communication skills and be able to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
IPC Certification preferred but not required.
Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job.
Be able to work carefully, consistently and be able to identify errors.
Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Windows a plus but not required.
