REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
JOB GOAL: Perform duties as scheduled by the Facilities Manager to keep the building and premises clean and safe for students and adults within the Kane Area School District.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The custodial cleaner shall work under the direction of the Facilities Manager, Superintendent, and Building Principal. The custodial cleaner must be capable of meeting the following job requirements and to be able to perform the following duties.
1.Possess a valid PA driver's license.
2.Be capable of lifting or moving objects in excess of 40 pounds.
3.Be able to operate or learn to operate the following equipment:
a. Pick-up truck and van
b. Snow plow
c. Snow blower
d. Lawn mowers and lawn tractors
e. Floor buffing machines
4.Pass a pre-employment physical prior to beginning work.
5.Be able to work independently and alone in buildings as required on the following shifts:
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
6.Report any damages or deficiencies to his/her immediate supervisor.
7.Cooperate with principals, teachers, and students to make the educational program function properly.
8.Perform duties as scheduled by the Facilities manager which may include any or all of the following:
a. Keep the buildings and premises clean, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas.
b. Shovel, plow or blow snow from walkways, driveways, parking areas and steps; and sand as needed.
c. Daily check exit doors to insure that they are open and working properly during times of building occupancy and locked and secured during times the building is unoccupied.
d. Perform daily clean duties in classroom, offices, restrooms, locker rooms and hallways.
e. Wash windows inside and outside.
f. Keep grounds free of rubbish and perform grounds keeping duties such as grass cutting, tree trimming, and the like as necessary to maintain safe and attractive facilities.
g. Secure the building as required when leaving the building, to include locking doors, closing windows and turning off lights.
h. Move furniture or equipment within or between buildings.
i. Store and dispose of trash as directed and in compliance with local and state laws.
j. Assist custodial cleaners as required.
k. Make minor repairs to equipment such as changing light bulbs, tightening loose bolts or screws.
l. Attend in-service programs as directed.
m. Any other duties as assigned
Physical Demands: Ability to sit and talk and hear; ability to stand; walk, climb or balance, stoop kneel crouch or crawl and move quickly when necessary to promote participants' safety; ability to lift and/ or move at least 40 lbs.
Sensory Ability: Ability to speak clearly and distinctly; auditory acuity to be able to hear students and directions, use telephone; visual acuity to operate equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Clean all showers, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
Cleaning of salon surfaces, mirrors, floors, and furniture fixtures: using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
Push and pull vacuum throughout entire spa including men's/women's locker-rooms, all treatment rooms, all lounges, and gym and empty trash in all guest areas.
Replenish amenities if needed toilet paper, seat protectors and any supplies not at sufficient par for spa facility.
Deep clean gym and aerobics studio, wipe mirrors, sweep, mop floors, and sanitize gym equipment.
Sweep and mop spa entry way and all hallways including dispensary.
Deep cleaning projects not completed daily but attended to weekly such as, bleaching of mats in locker rooms, windows, shampooing carpets, deep polishing of wood furniture, dusting blinds, washing pillows and cushion covers.
Additional items may be delegated to attendant by his or her Managers.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications
- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
Should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones.
Have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.

As a member of our cabin cleaning team you will be responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning of aircraft cabins. Some of the duties will include preparing cleaning solvents for use, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting and disinfecting of the aircraft cabin.
You will also be required to remove blankets and pillows and replace them with clean ones. Cleaning solvents need to be stored correctly after use and all soiled linens deposited into laundry bins.
You will be driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles at times and as such you will require a valid driver's license with a clear driving record. Key performance areas
As the Utility/Spool Cleaner, you will be responsible for keeping the plant and Sandvik facility neat and clean through the implementation and ongoing use of the 5 'S' system. In this role, you will serve as janitorial, process support function, but also may serve as backup for material handling or Coating as needed.
Additional responsibilities include:
Pick up and disposes of trash in all departments.
Pick up all debris outside the entire building as well as cleaning, sweeping and picking up debris in the main aisles.
Deliver pails to heavy wire annealing if necessary and instructed to do so
Pick up empty stems, spools, skids and pails in intermediate wire drawing as instructed
Seasonal Grounds Keeper, snow removal as required, sanding and salting walkways as needed
The Utility/Spool Cleaner should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. This role requires manual dexterity and visual and audio ability. Fork Lift certification is preferred, but training will be provided.
You should also possess:
Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to speak and read English
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and move up to 100 lbs., bend, walk and reach.

- Inspect vehicle for unidentified body damage.• Inspect vehicles to ensure safety equipment is in working order; lights, tires, brakes, wipers, horn, seat belts, mirrors and back-up lights.• Clean all exterior and interior windows and mirrors and vacuum interior, floor, seats, ashtray and trunk.• Provide positive customer service, including greetings, assistance with luggage and personal belongings, where applicable. Place items found in vehicles in lost and found. Direct drivers to drop off locations as necessary.• Drive the vehicle from drop off point to service area• Refuel the vehicle and log identification number with fuel needed and mileage.• Ensure that the key tag is properly marked with the correct VIN or Unit number and license plate number.• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.• Complete the out-of-service tag and ensure the vehicle is moved to the maintenance area. Reasons for out-of-service may include the following: preventive maintenance, mechanical problems, expired date for safety check or registration, or body damage.• Identify and pull cars that are eligible for turnback.• Identify and pull the vehicles that are eligible for turnback, flagged for grounding or preventative maintenance and verify their movement to the proper lot location.• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (no more than 3 moving violation in the past 3 years and no drug or alcohol related convictions in the past 5 years).
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
Aside from religious observation, must be able to work part time accordingly which may include weekends and holidays.
