Assist with the processing of quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a Burner Operator.
Assist with identify paperwork / work order documents make a mental map of how each order will fit on table, group orders by thickness; prioritize according to supervisor's input, 2 nd runs, customer will calls or other requirements.
Help locate material on floor, locate material in staging, home location or plate drop racks, select / hook up proper material handling equipment: chains assembly with plate hooks, or plate dog, magnet, spreader bar, find and place dunnage on table as needed.
After cleaning all slag on both sides, place parts on skid for packaging, noting customer unloading requirements – max skids, etc.
Shrink wrap as needed, band material with steel banding, label skid with order number, customer name, PO number if required.
Remove all scrap from table, place in dumpster, and place finished order in staging area as required.
Associated hazards / physical requirements:
All burner operators and parts cleaners are required to lift up to 50 lbs, climbing up and down on the burning table and forklifts.
Stepping in and around layouts, lifting boards / dunnage onto table, bending and lifting to stack small pieces / bags (finished goods) off table, in and out of tumbler and onto skids.
Changing fork lift propane tanks – as needed.

Burner (Industrial Oxy-Fuel Cutting Torch Operator) - 2Nd Shift
Summary: Removes excess material from castings with an oxy fuel cutting torch. Once trained, this position will work our 2nd shift, which is normally 3pm-11pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Uses a oxy-fuel cutting torch to remove all risers, gates, and fins safely, efficiently, and without gouging the casting, cutting up to 24" thick sections.
Communicates to supervision quality and equipment problems.
Inspects equipment daily.
Follows job work instructions and training matrix, where applicable.

The Burner reports to the Facilities & Operations Manager. The Burner is responsible for preparing purchased scrap through use of a burning torch, while ensuring that all of his/her efforts are compliant with the company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The Burner must possess knowledge of and be capable of wearing a respirator.

Job summary: Provides technical and analytical support for ASH Training Office. Contractor is expected to support a wide variety of tasks related to training and the FAA's Learning Management System (eLMS).
