The Laser Cutting Cell Operator is responsible for setting up and operating all lasers, presses, and additional equipment to create production and sample parts in the low-volume (laser) multi-layered steel (MLS) work centers. The team member is responsible for manufacturing quality parts in a safe and efficient manner by following all safety and quality procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for setting up and operating all lasers and machines in work center.
Assemble and set up both sample and production tooling.
Perform data collection, first articles, and final audits on manufactured products.
Identify process, material and equipment problems on lasers or presses, may trouble shoot equipment problems.
Complete daily production paperwork, including move and completions in Oracle.
Move die sets and emboss tools to tool room for change over using powered hand- truck.
May order gases and maintains a ready supply. (Nitrogen, Helium, and Oxygen).
Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Follows EHS rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings, and suggests ways for continuous improvement.
Promptly reports personal injuries and unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Create NC files using CAD/CAM software.
Understand and interpret shop paperwork (Press cards, routings, Mylar's, and blue prints.)

Verifies correct material used in manufacturing processes.
Knows use of hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, mallets, and hammers.

Knows hand truck operation, and has a license to use power hand truck.
Completes forms legibly and complete.
Knows gas storage regulations and ordering procedures.
Knows appropriate use of gases and how to change gas tanks safely.
Ability to read and understand press cards, procedures, work instructions, safety rules and warning signs.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to forty pounds on a daily basis.
Ability to walk and move about, stoop and bend, and climb (ascend and descend) ladders.
Ability to stand for an eight hour shift.
Ability to reach and grab with arms and hands, and manual dexterity to operate machines with precision.

Hardcore Concrete Cutting and Core Drilling is currently seeking a Concrete Cutting Operator who will be responsible for operating machines to cut and core drill concrete or asphalt; perform demolition work; scarifying, and ground penetrating radar scanning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review plans for the project with project management and then with owner/general contractor prior to commencing work.
- Review and adhere to any Job schedules set forth by General Contractor for project.

Working as a Bindery Operator, you would set up, adjust and operate all relevant bindery equipment such as: MBO folders with pile and continuous feeders; Heidelberg/Stahl Folders with continuous feeders; and 6 pocket Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers to produce quality finished products that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

The Ice Cream Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.
Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.

How you will contribute Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Tube Line Operator I position, on 3rd Shift (graveyard), in the Global EIP Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will be responsible for set-up and operation of the burnisher, all activities that pertain to the buffing, inspection and repair of the welder seams on tapered tubes produced in the Big Wheel process, for the set-up and operation of the straightener, and the set-up and operation of the new plasma cut-off systems.
Additionally, you will… Make decisions for length of burnishing time to obtain proper quality and size of tube. Determine minimum quality acceptable from visual inspection of the high frequency resistance seam weld on each tube. Make daily decisions regarding the straightness, length, and cut quality of tubes, relative to Valmont specifications.
Continual visual inspection of tubes to assure an acceptable level of quality is maintained according to Valmont specifications. Inspect for and remove scarfing left in the tube from the Blowout process. Use pneumatic powered buffer to remove rust, mill scale, and other contamination from the welded seams to enable inspection of the seam.
Performs close visual inspection of the welded seams to discover any discontinuities in the welds and any other defects. Use pneumatic powered grinder to grind all welds flush. Perform set-up of Straightener to assure hold down cables and roller supports are located correctly for varying sizes of tubes.
Inspect tubes for straightness; straighten as necessary, to produce tubes meeting Valmont specifications and industry standards. Maintain all equipment is designated area to assure proper working condition at all times. Perform regular preventative maintenance on all equipment in assigned areas.
Notify Supervisor and/or Lead Person when assistance is required for maintenance and/or other repairs that are beyond his/her capabilities. Assist Maintenance personnel on performing maintenance and repair work as needed. Assist set-up of other production equipment as directed by Lead Person.
Keep assigned area clean. Help maintain housekeeping program throughout Tube Mill as directed by Lead Person. Maintain Safety awareness and be alert at all times, to detect, avoid, and/or correct unsafe conditions.
