Site Physician Corrections - Blanket Req
Responsible for providing medical services to inmates of the Department of Corrections consistent with community standards of care. Provides overall supervision for clinical services for the site. Serves as the liaison for clinical matters with medical providers outside the system and provides "on-call" services.
Reports to the assigned facility at the designated time to examine referred patients.
Assures the implementation and on-going supervision of the on-site chronic clinics.
Consults with medical providers in the community to resolve issues in the delivering services to inmates.
Assumes the role of primary care physician with the coordination of on and off site care needs.
Supervises the clinical services clinical services provided my the professional and paraprofessional staff.
As directed, visits patients housed in the medial unit and records encounters in patient progress notes using SOAP format.
Ensures that all verbal or telephone orders are countersigned within seventy-two (72) hours.
When appropriate, utilizes available in-house resource personnel for treatment or resolution of identified problems before utilizing off-site referral.
Provides emergency treatment on-site and responds appropriately in urgent or emergency situations.
Maintains proper certification for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her individual judgment and actions.
Utilizes standard precautions when providing any invasive procedures for diagnostic or routine studies or handling specimens.
Keeps patient information confidential and respects the patient's right to privacy, in accordance with accepted confidentiality practices for incarcerated individuals.
Abides by the security regulations of the facility.
Notifies the Administrator of changes in scheduled coverage and assists in arrangement for coverage of medical services if unavailable for an extended period of time.
Serves a Chairperson of the Medical Audit Committee.
Annually reviews and approves clinical protocols, clinical policies, procedures and medical disaster plan.
Assists with the development of medical audit criteria.
Oversees the on-site quality assurance program, including infection control and review & action on inmate complaints.
Serves as discussion leader for selected –service training classes.
Represents the health care program in discussion with local civic groups or visiting officials.
Monitors referrals to outside health care facilities for appropriateness, quality and continuity of care.
Monitors non-formulary medication utilization at the assigned facility.
Is available for the resolution of administrative/medical issues.
Assists in the screening, interviewing and evaluating the credentials of health care providers.
Ensures that all physician documentation is dates, timed, legible, problem oriented and signed.
All other duties as assigned.
Must possess a degree in medicine (M.D./D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
Must be licensed to perform medicine and must be CDS certified.

Description of Work

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Public Safety
- Samarcand Training Academy. Employee will perform the following duties:
Loads washer with laundry; regulates the amount and temperature of water to be used; mixes and adds soaps, detergents, and bleaches in accordance with amount, type, and condition of laundry being washed
Checks operation of washing equipment o assure that bath towels, wash cloths and bedding items are properly washed and are clean
Operates dryer by loading washed articles into machines, distributes materials evenly to avoids excessive vibration, operates switch to set machine in motion and removes items when properly dried
Sorts, counts, and stores soiled bed linen and blankets for laundry pick up
Takes delivery of clean linen from laundry services; counts and disseminates clean linen to appropriate laundry storage cabinets
Maintains inventory of soiled laundry going out and clean linen coming in from laundry service; maintains operational linen inventory in all dorm storage cabinets
Checks condition of linen, towels, washcloths, blankets, and comforters; removes from inventory when soiled or damaged; advises management as linen needs to be replaced or purchased.
Performs other job-related duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Ability to climb four-foot ladder for stocking laundry cabinets

The Animal Cage Washer is Responsible for providing a clean and sterilized living environment for research animals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate mechanical cage washing equipment, autoclaves and other sanitizing equipment.
Maintain adequate levels of cage wash chemicals.
Scrape and empty pans and cages of soiled bedding.
Pre-clean large animal cages for cage wash machinery.
Prepare clean rodent cages for autoclaving to include food, bedding, water bottles and appropriate covering.
Load assembled cages onto transport racks in preparation for sterilization by steam autoclave.
Load, operate and unload steam autoclaves.
Place processed bedding, feed and other related items into assembled, sanitized cages.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, detergent and disinfectant use, cage washer and autoclave performance tests.
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on autoclaves and cage washers. Dispose of waste materials.
Sweep, mop and disinfect cage wash area at the end of each shift and take all trash to the dumpster.
Receive and stock feed and bedding in the storage area.
Perform additional cleaning and maintenance in preparation for inspections or as required.
Observe all safety policies and procedures and use equipment and chemical treatments properly to avoid harming animals, self, others and damaging property.
