Education & Experience: Complete Engine Assembly training boot camp. Complete all training from Teardown Standardized Work Instructions.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Competent in following all Teardown Standardized Work Instructions and can read specifications and verify pictures from the computer program.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Lifting 5-50 pounds using the proper lifting techniques or equipment, bending, and twisting.
Standing for entire shift. Loud work environment. Personal Protective Equipment is required at all times including Safety Glasses, Steel toed boots, and Hearing Protection. Some cleaning jobs will also require use of Face Shield.

Arup's San Francisco office is seeking a Structural Blast Consultant to join our team. The primary focus of the Consultant is to provide specialist blast consulting and design services for a variety of clients in the United States and around the globe. The role requires a person with a broad knowledge of structural engineering as well as an understanding of dynamic loading, and material response. The candidate should also be able to develop and present conceptual ideas, and have an understanding of the planning, design and construction process. Experience with blast modeling is desired but not required as training will be given.
Your Responsibilities include:
Have a practicing knowledge of structural engineering and an understanding of how to model such structures against dynamic loading;
Understand security processes and the background to why blast analysis is required;
Understand structural/ blast concepts and the capability to turn the concepts into design.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to confirm blast requirements during the design process.
Assist in the production of threat and vulnerability risk assessments.
Carry out blast modeling using engineering software including computational fluid dynamic modeling;
Work cooperatively with other Arup personnel on projects (in the United States and overseas)
Coordinate design related issues with other disciplines.
Prepare and deliver blast reports detailing the methodology of the process undertaken, illustration of the results in a manner that can be understood by clients, and strategically advising on best outcomes
Prepare and deliver design documentation.
Participate in the presentation of project results to clients;
Assist in the identification and development of new business opportunities.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with private sector clients, government agencies, professional firms and consultants relevant to the team's activities
Provide detailed technical input across a broad range of projects within the security area.
Work collaboratively with both the AT R and Resilience, Security & Risk leaders, other members of the team, and other Arup teams across the Region in the delivery of successful projects/ assignments.
Contribute to internal technical research initiatives and seek to improve existing methods and processes
Effectively manage time, quality and performance of projects with established quality, budget and project expectations
Participate in broader Office, Region, and Arup Group Global activities as assigned or appropriate

Qualifications:
Degree in structural engineering or similar area;

Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines
Qualifications:
Understanding of latest modeling process and programs for the determination of blast loads;
Experience of using finite element packages such as Strand7 or LS-DYNA;
An understanding of holistic security strategy, electronic or operational security;
Experience working on large infrastructure projects;
An understanding of what is needed to support an efficient and commercially viable team

Position Summary
Position is responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking and issuing all inventory and all other job duties related to the parts room. This includes all fleet owned by the City of Indianapolis from small engine to heavy equipment.

Position Responsibilities
Receives, identifies, unpacks, stores and issues all parts (stock and non stock), equipment, and/or materials.
Labels new stock upon arrival.
Works counter for all technicians to issue and take information for ordering special requested parts. Make sure all forms are complete with the correct information.
Prepares all paperwork for group leaders and or foreman for notification of all special ordered parts.
Runs various reports from computerized inventory management system as directed by Management.
Uses City of Indianapolis finance system to acquire purchase orders for all items purchased per budget for IFS.
Uses IFS in house fleet system to update inventory. Includes – key in purchase order information obtained from finance system, receive items in inventory upon delivery, place on order for reserve parts for equipment down and for stock.
Re-labels stock with replacement numbers provided by vendors.
Contacts vendors for quotes on orders, availability for all stock and non stock items. Place order with vendor by phone or online.
Looks up parts for repairs on computerized systems and manually in parts books.
Counts stock items to assist in physical inventory and spot checks.
Responsible for charging out all stock and non stock items ordered to correct work order, unit, department or indirect accounts to ensure accurate billing for our using departments.
Makes various size hoses as needed for equipment repairs.
Takes call in orders from road service technicians in the field for all fleet equipment.
Operates office equipment including and not limited to - fax machine, copier, scanner, label making machine, calculator, engraver and other equipment as needed.
Files copies of purchase order and invoices.
Completes receivers for financial system for the City of Indianapolis for payment if needed to back up Manager/Supervisor.
Handles drums of chemicals as needed. Storage and placing on floor for technicians use.
Handles drums/container of contaminated/hazardous chemical for proper disposal by vendor designated by the City of Indianapolis.
Orders and disburses oxygen and acetylene tanks for shop use and road service.
Updates computerized parts look up systems.
Assists all departments with the City of Indianapolis with items needed from our parts room.
Receives all UPS, FedEx deliveries for all IFS areas including IMPD, Sheriff Department and IFD located at our facilities.
Performs any and all stock room functions to include operating supply vehicle to pick up supplies and repair parts.

Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, vacuum waste and spilled product, water blast clean machines and areas, and lance clean lines and pipes. Must be able to handle up to 10,000 psi water pressure flowing through the hand held cleaning equipment.
Provide sanitation and cleaning assistance as needed for shoveling; snow removal; pesticide application; and general area clean up.

Must have working knowledge and be able to operate the following: skid loaders, scissors lifts, aerial lifts, fork lifts, RTFL, and hand / power tools.

Maintain adherence to the published work schedule and be available to work overtime as required by demands of the job. This includes days, nights, and weekends as needed. Work all shifts including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job.
Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment when required by the job and situation. Employee must be able to work in confined spaces, wear a respirator, fall protection equipment and other necessary PPE as required by the job functions. This could include, may not be limited to, special blast suits, boots and gloves as well as standard PPE equipment. Employee must be able to work in awkward positions for long periods of time, stand for long periods of time, walk long distanced, and climb excessive stairs.
Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints. Employee must be able to evaluate a site for safety hazards and communicate with supervisor if the area is felt to be unsafe. Employee will be required to maintain and communicate using a company radio.
