Amera is seeking Porters to help keep our Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs properties clean. Responsibilities Include:
Maintain Property Cleanliness ~* Pick up trash in the parking lots, the perimeter, and retail areas (mornings and afternoons). This includes straw wrappers, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, cups, napkins, etc. ~* Pick up and dispose of fallen branches (chopping them up if necessary) ~* Take out / change trash several times daily (morning, noon, early evening, late night) ~* Clean and keep clean the dumpster areas (to supplement the weekly pressure washing) ~* Wash windows of vacant units ~* Clean up any spills and blemishes in retail area and parking lots to make sure all surfaces are clean (floors, columns, benches, trash cans, etc). Including bird/ duck droppings. ~* Weed retail area and paved parking areas and curbs ~* Remove cobwebs from the building and trees (can be high up) ~* Rake / blow leaves away from retail areas and away from parking/ driving areas (dispose in trash) ~* Rake fallen leaves from grassy areas and islands and dispose in trash ~* Dig out / rake out all drains throughout the properties, keeping it clear for water to flow. ~ Address any ant trails or colonies in the retail areas and parking lots ~ Hammer down any rebar that is sticking up from parking lot bumpers (these can damage cars) ~ Scrape and remove any gum disposed of incorrectly throughout the property (floors, etc) ~* Remove stickers and graffiti from signage and property. Cleaning of the Workshop ~* Participate in the weekly rotation of cleaning the operations workshop. Monitor Inventory & Supplies ~* Communicate with supervisor regarding portering supplies and equipment, and ordering more supplies before we run out (e.g., when there are only a few bottles of a particular product left) Monitor Property and & Report Issues ~* Monitor property issues and resolve or report issues to supervisors or property managers.

Roll paper into loading position on automatic splicer, insert shaft of automatic splicer through roll core, secure holding chucks of automatic splicer to shaft ends, and thread paper through press components to prepare press for printing. Apply adhesive strip to backup roll and insert backup roll onto automatic splicing unit of press to prepare paper for automatic splicing. Remove roll of leftover paper from press after automatic splicing.
May operate mechanical truck to transport rolls of paper to press area. May assist with some of the make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates, examining plates, prepping and installing blankets, adjusting tension etc. May clean press and clean and install press components to maintain press in working order. May prepare and Prepares and loads flat stock into a sheet fed press.

The Carrot Handler will perform the following duties in accordance with GMP (good manufacturing practices) and established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Failure to follow GMPs and SOPs could negatively impact the quality of our finished product and may potentially elevate a food safety risk.
Responsible for manually grading carrots based on most serious defects. Defects will be graded as follows: decay, green tops / black crowns, long/short pieces, deformed shapes, scars, splits, deep rings, broken product, off color, and other blemishes
Removes defective product and foreign material from the line and throws them onto the shaker located across the conveyor
Will be responsible for reporting any safety hazards and any foreign objects found
Will be packing 10oz – 5lb bags in to boxes
Responsible for quality assurance: bag seal and match of bag and box labels
Responsible for building plastic trays
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Performs the following tasks to finish any imperfections/defects in the fiberglass hulls, decks and small parts. Identifies, isolates and repairs any defects in the surface/subsurface of fiberglass. Cleans and fills vent holes and pour holes. Finishes the weld on the gun 'l and transom. Finishes gelcoat blemishes and defects to match the surrounding gelcoat. Uses buffers, DA sanders, and spray guns, wet/dry sanding, finish spraying, pasting and painting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operates and maintains tools and equipment
