Description and Responsibilities
The Jackson location creates Dry Beverage products for Kerry customers and brands. The Blender Operator is responisble for perfoming dry blending of products to ensure continuous operations by meeting production needs. This is a 2nd shift position working on our new, highly automated production lines. The hours for this position are Monday
11pm. with availablity to work overtime as needed.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
Mark and label containers or products using appropriate equipment.
Measure, weigh, and count and package products and materials.
Examines and inspects containers, materials, and products in order to ensure proper specifications are followed.
Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
Responsible for following proper procedures in regards to defective products or materials.
Reports all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initial action.
Demonstrates a positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency to accomplish assigned tasks.
Understand and comply with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.
Maintains a safe & clean work environment & departmental housekeeping standards.
Understand and comply with all GMP requirements for the manufacturing of food-safe products.
Adhere to assigned shift and break schedule.
Comprehend all aspects of the C.I.P. process, including, salt flushes, flavor flushes, allergen cleans, and cocoa C.I.P.'s.
Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
Must have a good attendance record.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively

Machine Operator - Blender (1St Shift) (4963-292)
Preparation and sanitation of equipment and work area as per designated GMP, AIB and ISO procedures.Produce formula batches as per designated specific formula instructions. This is to include the accurate plating of oleoresins, charging of blender, and monitoring of blend lengths.Preparation and delivery of samples for quality control approval.General examination of raw materials for formula lot accuracy, as well as off-spec ingredients to include: product contamination, off-color materials, and inconsistency of materials. Verification of material quantities are a pre-operational requirement.Performance of safety related equipment checks on all assigned units to ensure safe operating equipment.Overtime mandatory as required to include weekend availability.Adherence to all Company and site Safety & Training Procedures.
Minimum of 1 year working experience on Stand-up or Sit-down forklift General knowledge of safe behaviors and practices. Literacy in English. Physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
In accordance with SOP's and customer's specifications, stage, weigh and record all batch ingredients.
Mix and blend wet/dry ingredients in accordance with product mix/batch sheet specifications.
Record all ingredient usage using location ERP system.
Collect pre-blend and final product samples as required. Perform all required batch analytical testing. Report any product deviations to the department supervisor.
Follow all allergen protocols.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) in detail without deviation.
Operate tanks, pumps and blend operations equipment.
Perform equipment clean-up, CIP/SIP operations.
Perform routine equipment adjustments.
Safe operation of a lift truck.
Accurately and neatly complete batch records, system data entry and documentation.
Perform all department environmental controls.
Perform product reclaim and rework operations in accordance with reclaim guidelines.
Support internal and external audits.
Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures.
Follow all established GMP's and Food Safety requirements.
Effective coordination and cooperation with other departments.
Perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines.

Strong math skills.
Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Truck).

Shift flexibility. This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Our blend operators are assigned to a team in support of dairy operations. This can either be days, swing or night shift and weekends. Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or related events such as audits.

Packages powder, seals bags, and hand stacks on pallets
Apply labels to packages
Operates forklift & stacks pallets in a safe and efficient manner
Operate & clean shrink wrapper

Clean remaining packaging equipment

Minimize and rework scrap material. Trouble shoot equipment and process difficulties, taking corrective action to prevent the loss of material or production time.
Communicate with other batch operators and maintenance personnel when difficulties arise. Operate a forklift in a safe manner to eliminate inventory damage and accidents. Package of finished goods when necessary.

Blend and mix ground beef product to proper grade or percentage of fat level.
Ensure product is prepared at a very cold temperature to ensure freshness
of the product.
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in area and with products.
Keep a continual flow of products moving to the K-Pak machines.
Check machinery during morning pre-operational procedures to ensure
Ensure area does not over-produce specific individual products.
Check each individual load to make sure product has pre-specified amount of
Chill finished product immediately after blending.
Put finished product on auger machine down to K-Pak area.
Prepare paperwork on all loads
Daily work tasks are structured with very few deviations.
