This position is responsible for ensuring the correct soap formula is supplied to the production line in a timely manner. This includes adding the appropriate ingredients to the soap base and accurate documentation of batch records. The ideal person must be able to work independently and detail oriented. This is a third shift position reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure correct soap formula is supplied to the production line in a timely manner.
Document batch records accurately to ensure the proper ingredients are included.
Ensure safety equipment and safety procedures are in place and followed.
Monitor and record temperature, moisture and refining of soap in finishing line.
Dispose of totes on production lines for recycling.
Regrind excess or scrap soap.
Clean and/or replace refining screens on a periodic basis.
Assist in line purges.
Responsible and accountable for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist in training new workers.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Perform all duties in a safe manner using proper tools and wearing appropriate protective equipment as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Gravimetrically blend simple and complex mixtures into high and low pressure cylinders as specified by production orders.
Use conventional gravimetric blending methods in conjunction with liquid injections and sample cylinders to manufacture high quality mixtures to customer specification.
Proficiently perform gravimetric calculations to account for the effects of vapor pressure, compressibility, temperature etc.
Effectively manufacture master solutions for liquid mixtures.
Reviews SDS for all chemicals to be used prior to handling.
Works in a safe manner while filling and handling cylinders at all times.
Promptly reports all safety concerns and good catches to management.
Quality Control and Maintenance:
Ensures scale calibrations are performed quarterly and checked weekly.
Verify minimum gravimetric add-weights are met as required by production order.
Check all scheduled maintenance is performed on time. Including but not limited to vacuum pump oil changes, manifold integrity checks, QC N2 samples etc.
Maintain accurate and current inventory of incoming and used raw materials.
Ensure prefill inspections are completed as required, faulty or leaking cylinders are taken to cylinder maintenance.
Understands and adheres to all standard operating procedures as established in the relevant Quality Manual.
Record all fill data in log book.
Complete file electronic back-calculation sheets.
- Works with his team as well as with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the work process.
Maintains a clean work area as well as any other area which may be assigned.
Takes pride in work area and cleans up at the end of each shift.

Primary Function: Responsible for surface finishing and initial formal inspection of castings in order to meet external quality requirements.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Selects appropriate finishing equipment and tools.
Finishes castings while maintaining dimensional tolerances.

Making product batches per recipe, under quality specifications
Review daily schedule for the blending area, based on production work order and schedule
Organize daily tasks efficiently based on scheduled batches
Follow recipes and instructions. Collect, weigh, mix and meet quality specifications
Verify each ingredient with quantity and lot number on the work order
Be able to mix any batch independently and correctly, with limited supervision. Have a full understanding of the complete blending process from start to finish
Be able to provide in process tasks such as cleaning, scraping, capping or hand labeling for the poured product such as deodorant, 2oz or 11oz products, whipped shea, etc.
Complete all necessary quality and production paperwork
Return all ingredients to storage area upon completion of usage
Work together as a team with fellow co-workers and your lead to complete all work assignments.
Identify and report any issues in the blending area that may result in a compromised finished product or create a safety concern the Lead or Manager.
Follow all sanitation schedules and SOPs: Keep all equipment and supples clean, sanitized and neatly stored. Wash equipment and supples promptly and thoroughly. Scrape waxes, oils, etc into trash before washing in sink.

Efficiently operate PLCs, recipe system, and equipment, adding raw materials at designated times and observing operating temperatures ensuring timely completion of quality batches per production schedule. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all color matching and mixing equipment. The incumbent conducts draw-downs and prepares and blends customer orders to meet their specifications, while maintaining detailed records of their work orders and formulas.
Prepare customer orders, including blending initial batch, making shade adjustments, filling and labeling batches.
Make shade and gloss adjustments to meet customer requirements.
Use Phoenix System including generating COA's and QA sheets.
Prepare spray-out and draw-down test panels.
Expense miss-tints daily.
Establish and maintain accurate customer work order files and formulas.
Ensure customers' quality and service expectations are met.
Clean and repair store equipment
Identify facility/equipment problems and make recommendations.
Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing and testing equipment in a safe manner.
Properly store all partial containers to correct inventory location.
Provide input regarding inventory levels in the warehouse/stockroom.
Identify potential obsolete/damaged material and handle per established policy/procedures.
Maintain daily clean up of lab, product service room and equipment.
Maintain facility to S-W standards through proper maintenance, repair and housekeeping.
Follow designated loss prevention, security and safety practices according to policy and correct or report non-compliance of appropriate procedures/policies.
Take immediate action to contain spillage using hazardous material containment procedures as outlined in the Work Safe Manual, including proper and timely reporting.
Assist with general warehouse, delivery and customer service duties as needed, including loading and unloading of material and waiting on customers.
Know stock limits and be familiar with stock order procedure.
Assist with physical inventory
Help manage PSR expenses as required.
