This position is within American Snuff Company—the nation's second- largest manufacturer of smokeless tobacco products. Its leading brands are Grizzly and Kodiak.
Plant Services Attendants safely and efficiently operate tobacco processing equipment, including forklifts, following work instructions for varying processes and departments to accurately produce, package, transport, store and maintain records regarding the production of high-quality tobacco semi-finished products. Plant Service Attendants in the Administration & Management-Processing Department are responsible for relief coverage for Plant Service Attendant duties in all departments and also for performing other duties as assigned under direction of the Threshing Line Supervisor.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately follow detailed work instructions for manufacturing processes, record keeping and safety procedures.
Monitor process to ensure correct supplies, materials and tobacco are utilized for appropriate blends of semi-finished goods.
Perform and record detailed preventative maintenace checks and report identified issues to supervision and maintenance.
Accurately record and verify records and material verifications (counts, tags, levels).
Verify material and set up for change-overs and clean-ups.
Safely and effectively operate industrial forklifts and scissor lifts.
High School diploma or G.E.D required.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Pass lift truck and scissor lift certfication requirements and safely operate riding sweeper.
Willingness and ability to learn and perform varying duties.
Willingness and ability to work any shift and in varying departments.
Basic computer skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Attention to detail, proactive mindset and effective follow-through.
Certified forklift driver.
Familiarity with tobacco processing equipment and MMI and PLC navigation.

Mix, And Blending Operator
Mix, and Blending Operator 1st Shift 6:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. M-F $15/hour
This Dispersion Operator position performs all operations required to check, assemble, mix, blend and grind ingredients to create an accurate batch of product to meet customer’s specifications, and may also work with the Quality Control and Filling departments.
Accurately follow batch ticket instructions to make specific product. Assemble accurate measurements of ingredients through use of scales and gather other equipment and ingredients as needed to make specific batch.
Complete proper documentation (such as batch tickets) correctly and accurately. Enter data into computer.
Complete “let down” process, clean up and properly store equipment used. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Clean up equipment and properly store equipment. As part of the housekeeping procedures, the employee may be involved with the disposal of hazardous waste. The initial training of how to properly dispose of hazardous waste will be performed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator or the department supervisor. Annual training of the same will be performed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator

Blending Operator Lead
Schedules compound through the department for production and maintains organization and flow of material within the department.
Direct activities and provide technical assistance to the blending staff.
Ensure staffing is scheduled appropriately for the coverage needs.
Assign and prioritize workload within the blending organization.
Work with Blending Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate capital project installation and improvements.

This position is responsible for performing different assembly and packaging jobs in the processing of foods.
Making quality products under sanitary conditions in the most efficient manner and on a timely basis.
Unpacking raw materials; mixing ingredients; assembling product and packing finished goods.
Ensuring that all products (from raw materials to finished product) meet company and government quality standards.
Inspecting products; throwing out or fixes products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
Notifying supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
All work is done on a rotation. Will rotate to other product lines in all facilities as needed.
Keeping a straight product flow along conveyors.
Assisting with training of new line attendants.
Counting, packing and inspecting finished product for correct label, cleanliness, and quality.
Working in a wide range of temperatures and conditions and being exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including but not limited to ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, bump caps, hair and beard nets, and gloves.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To receive, store, and transfer titanium sponge, titanium fines, titanium scrap, and alloys as in-process materials between departments.

Operate Tea Blending and packaging machinery meeting all productivity, quality, and accuracy standards established.
Loads tea into bins to be weighed blended and packaged.
Learn the blending process for teas and prepares blends according to established formulas.
