WORK LOCATION Irving, TX
WORK HOURS: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Nights)
$13.75 HR (Night shift) Pay increases: At 3 months $ 14.00 / at 6 months $14.25/ at 12 Months $14.50
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: 2 Years (Temp to Perm)
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As a machine operator you will monitor and operate various production machinery within a clean room environment. Perform a variety of assembly operations using established blueprints, procedures and quality standards by performing the following duties:
Operates small equipment, cutter machines, jigs and assembly fixtures and standard measuring instruments. Molds, Silicon Dipping Set equipment/machinery to required production settings
Cleaning excess/left over product from machines
Determine whether materials or products meet quality standards
Inspect finished products using drop indicators, venires, gauges and other measuring equipment
Prepare necessary documentation required for the device master for recording purposes
Adhere to all quality and safety guidelines
Read and follow assembly/production blueprints
High school or equivalent required
Preferred 2 year's experience, can substitute with 2 years college.
Pass L I S A test (Light Industrial Skills Analyst) Test at local Branch
Pass Vision test, must have updated glasses or prescription
Experience working in a clean room medical device, assembly or production environment.
Knowledge of GMP, SOP or Lean Manufacturing Procedures.
Computer skills – Outlook required
1 to 2 years manufacturing operations experience, preferred.
Excellent communication, with strong attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Work history establishing dependability and competent job performance.
Use basic math in a production setting, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals, etc.
Function in a team environment.
Operation and basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical equipment.
Must wear Scrubs (candidate must provide)
Work in Clean room environment.
CLEAN ROOM ENVIROMENT
All candidates are expected to wear medical scrubs. Customer will provide you with the gowning materials that are worn over your scrubs.
No Make-up, long nails past finger tips not allowed, no jewelry (to include wedding rings) can be worn, and all facial hair will need to be covered.
Ability to read and comprehend procedures in English. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to read manufacturing blueprints.

Only SMX associates that have been on assignment in Finishing for a minimum of 6 months will be considered
Responsible for operation of one or more machines within a process area involving set up, feeding, racking, operating, tooling, preventative maintenance and clean up.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Perform twisting, bending, reaching and forceful repetitive motions that require the use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, waist, legs and neck to lift parts from metal pans.
Place parts on machine holding devices and removes them after they have been machined/polished.
Operate computer controlled equipment throughout the shift.
Lift up to 40 pounds from floor to waist level throughout the shift.
Stand on concrete floors for 8 hours every day.
Ability to work in a noisy, dirty environment.
Operate high production equipment.
Distinguish between various parts and finishes.
Visually examine throughout the entire shift individual metal parts for finish and damage.
Set up, change and adjust machine tooling to accommodate parts being machined.
Change and/or adjust tooling and make offset changes when needed.
Clean and perform preventative maintenance as needed in order to maintain the equipment in optimum operating conditions at all times.
Wear protective safety equipment throughout the entire shift. This includes safety glasses and earplugs.
Maintain production reports, tracking downtime, set up time, parts produced, etc.
Use basic PC skills.
Operate hand truck daily.
Operate pallet jack as required.
Maintain safety requirements in work area.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Write English, alpha and numeric characters.
Understand English instructions both written and verbal.
Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimal system and fractions.
Read and understand basic measurement tools including dial calipers, micrometers, steel rules and go/no go gauges.
Knowledge of SPC.
Read and understand blueprint drawings.
Use pneumatic and electrical hand tools.
Perform rapid visual inspection.

Operate machines making adjustments to machines to maximize up time, rates and yields.
Read and review daily production schedule for changes and confers with department heads when necessary. Monitor and document all process parameters on a routine basis.
Maintain quality and speed control by continual adjustments of gauges that control temperature, pressure, trim, rolls (where applicable) and speed to material.
Complete daily reports including cycle time, daily production, scrap tickets, packaging, production, and downtime.
Perform general preventative maintenance on equipment. Monitor machines for mechanical problems by listening for unusual noises and visually checking gears, hoses, gauges, materials, etc.
Initiate troubleshooting and solving mechanical problems using small hand tools to make adjustments and minor repairs. If unsuccessful in making repairs, notify supervisor and/or maintenance for assistance.
Ensure adequate materials and rolls (if applicable) are available in the department for production runs. Follow equipment change procedures and thread rolls (where applicable) into machine (if applicable). Monitor quality of the product being produced and make routine adjustments to maintain specifications.
Provide guidance to other members of the department including lower level Machine Operators, Product Handlers, and Forklift Operators.
Perform changeover and set-up duties when requested.
Assist Supervisor as directed.
Keep general work area clean.
Perform other duties as assigned.

CNC Machine Operator
The CNC Operator III with the help from a CNC Machinist I & II will produce machined parts by operating mills and/or lathes; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining the equipment by performing the following duties.
With assistance will run machine parts by using work orders, blueprints, materials, and specifications.
With assistance will interpret the job instructions including a tool list, job routing, part drawings and in-process quality instructions.
With assistance will locate the appropriate tool holders, tools and fixtures and assist in loading them into the machine.
With assistance will load the CNC program into the machine control including zero and reference points and assist in entering tool length and offsets.
With assistance will ensure that the work piece is properly lubricated and cooled.
With assistance will run the program; assist in taking measurements and assist in making all adjustments necessary to make a finished part.
With assistance will assist in the inspection of the first run piece and assist in checking succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
Keeps area clean according to 5S standards.
Follows all safety rules as set by the company.
A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
Basic working knowledge of CNC lathe and mill machine controls.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders.
Ability to work with basic shop math.
Ability to use standard measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers and gauges).
