MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: PC and other office equipment, woodworking tools (saws, staples), forklift WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Extensive interaction with the customer is required. Work requires long, strenuous hours and being able to work under pressure.
May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work is generally conducted in a warehouse environment. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required is certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Must have a working knowledge of various power saws and basic woodworking principles. Two-year woodworking experience and knowledge of packaging and preservation principles and techniques preferred.
Must possess or be able to obtain a forklift license. Knowledge of rail loading and tie-down of military equipment preferred. Must possess and continuously maintain a current State of Colorado Driver’s License.

Manage the activities of the shop floor; Manages and oversees the daily production and operations of the stamping (punch press) , assembly, fabrication, welding and grinding department and works with other departments to ensure quality production and timely delivery of parts to customers. Plan, schedule and coordinate departmental activities and schedules in cooperation with the Production Control Manager to ensure On-Time Deliveries to customer while maintaining quality product.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate work schedule with the Production Control Manager in order to meet delivery requirements of customers.
- Assist Quality Control personnel in overall efforts to provide customers with high quality products and service and take part in MRB’s as needed.
- Recommend purchase of new equipment, tools, machinery and changes in plant layout.
- Assist in preserving and tracking upkeep of current equipment, tools and machinery.
- Prepares daily placement based on scheduling, customer and staffing needs.

The role of a SCE Mechanical Metals Supply Base Engineer is complex must be led by someone who is both technically proficient to work with the engineering design teams, but also experienced in supply chain and manufacturing to bring that hardware tooling and technology into the mass production. Specific hardware development and tooling knowledge is required and the candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of tooling components and systems, understanding key factors in both the development, qualification, and manufacturing aspects of tooling products.
Your role will be to act as the interface between the Building 8 Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to implement and execute comprehensive tooling solutions for our products. This is a full- time position.
1. Work with Engineering Team to identify the best supplier/partner to meet product requirements from both technical perspective as well as supply chain and manufacturing considerations 2.
