We are currently seeking a Blow Mold Technician for our PET bottle production team.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Safely and proactively operate, troubleshoot, and optimize PET blow mold and support equipment
Meet performance targets for blow molding
Ensure proper setup of blow mold machines
Monitor and adjust bottle processes to optimize bottle quality and correct defects, including the completion of hourly quality checks
Manage bottle silo level, merge/dump gate setup, and blower speeds
Routinely communicate with up/down stream operators to maximize line performance
Execute preform and bottle changeovers
Maintain machine adjustment logs
Comply with sanitation standards, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow contamination prevention and machine cleaning procedures
Become proficient in facility specific blow molder equipment operations & troubleshooting
Use troubleshooting to correct downtime issues
Communicate with maintenance on machine performance issues, submit work requests for corrective maintenance
Cross train and perform duties of other team members as needed
Assist with equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and rebuilds as needed
Key qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications desired
Prior experience operating PET blowmold equipment, troubleshooting blowmold components (i.e. t-arm, spindle, blowing valves) and processing experience is needed
Solid computer skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise management software (SAP)
Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
Solid problem solving and decision making skills
Comfort working in a high speed production environment
Ability to move/lift 50 lbs various times over a 12 hour shift, basic math and reading skills
Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidays

Oversees and manages all aspects of the blow molding organization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)
Provide general leadership to blow-molding department
Supervise and direct blow-molding personnel with all duties
Develop and execute preventative maintenance tasks specifically for blow molding and corresponding utility systems; own the blow-molding preventative maintenance plan. Execute preventative maintenance according to priorities: Safety, quality, and throughput.
Responsible to work with contractors as needed and validate work
Provide performance coaching to the blow-molding department
Develop and adhere to machine KPI's and quality requirements
Maintain coordination of production planning with blow-molding department
Work with technical services to on-board new preform resins and bottle SKU's
Responsible for work order disbursement and completion of tasks
Responsible for creating, modifying, and deleting work orders in the SAP system
Coordinate with vendors about new equipment and oversee the installation processes to make sure everything meets Glanbia's standards and specifications
Communicate with corporate engineering/production/maintenance to resolve engineering and production or maintenance issues in the plant; specifically for capital upgrades as needed.
Provide on call facility support and perform other duties as assigned.
Provide timely planning of general work orders.
Develop a master plan, shutdown plan, and a schedule for each.
Compile production loss reporting due to equipment failure
Optimize predictive maintenance practices (infrared, vibration and lubrication)
Provide a yearly equipment condition analysis and asset inventory
Own electrical components in the plant (VFD's, instrumentation, wiring, motors, panels, PLC's, etc.). Coordinate as needed with supporting departments to address needs.
Facilitate "break down analysis" for each equipment failure based on a priority impacting the production schedule; troubleshoot electrical issues in the field.
Maintain equipment history and equipment documents in a useable library.
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
On call facility support

The Blow Line Operator is responsible for running all machines utilized in the production of PVC fittings and components in the Blow Line department. The Blow Line Operator will specifically run three pieces of equipment in simultaneously order starting with the PVC heater, then the Blow mold, and finally the Finishing Saw. Daily communication regarding machine performance must be communicated to the Blow Line Lead. Machine inspection is performed for accurate setup and performance safety. All product quality is the sole responsibility of the operator and must be communicated to the Quality Manager and/or the Blow Line Lead. Ultimate goal is to produce high quality parts with minimum downtime in the most safe and economical manner. The Blow Line Operator must be flexible to work 40+ hours per week. The Blow Line Operator reports directly to the Blow Line Lead.
The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the Blow Line Operator include, but are not limited to:
Notify Lead of any shortages in consumable items required for departmental operation
Maintain accurate production records such that all raw material used and all finished goods produced in the department are accurately reported
Ensure safe operations of all machines
Clean work area daily and remove any unused tooling improperly stored in the work zone
Help identify incorrect raw material quantities in an effort to reduce production run shortages/overages
Proper set up and maintenance of equipment used in the department including safety inspection signoff forms
Seek improvements in production efficiencies
Remove full crate quantity of product out of production area properly labeled as to product and quantity
Monitor the quality of products produced and ensure that all initial products are approved by the Quality Manager.

This position and will require the Process Engineer to work a varied schedule. An explanation will be provided by the Production Manager and/or Human Resource Manager during an interview.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of the Extrusion Blow molding process and its related platforms. Experience and knowledge in the areas of tooling, quality, and process development is a must.
Specific Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Abides by all Amcor's Safety & Quality policies and procedures.
Has authority to stop machines/production to communicate safety, quality, machine problems, and breakdowns to Production Supervisor or Management representative.
Develop and maintain Best in Class Processes.
Develop machine criteria for plastic processes.
Perform start ups of new equipment, tooling and processes
Perform design of experiments to establish process parameters.
Produce sample products as necessary.
Optimize process parameters based on product performance.
Establish process control parameters
Support and establish machine process parameters to achieve optimum quality containers.
Work with QA to measure containers to confirm physical characteristics and establish performance capabilities.

Will be responsible for daily production records and quality control records for any and all lines assigned to operate
Coordinate process operations to ensure efficiency, including, communicate with production personnel
Must be able to keep up-to-date on process alterations and general procedures by reading logs, special procedures and posted notices
Responsible for housekeeping & maintaining a clean work area
Follows and supports all Safety programs Qualifications- 3+ year's experience with working in a facility that runs Blow Molders
Previous experience with Uniloy machines a plus
Basic Mechanical Skills
Ability to provide and use basic hand tools
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work safely
Must be able to work overtime when needed

What you will do as a Blow Molding Process Engineer
- Provide expert support through life-cycle of our Blow Molding process, industrialization, and commercialization of startup, testing, execution, and validation of upstream processes.
- Assist in troubleshooting and quality control operations for manufacturing as well as coordinating equipment purchases and implementing facility improvements.
- Participate in engineering teams of multiple disciplines to establish, review, and improve overall process design and manufacturing procedures as needed.
- Perform design control tasks related to user requirements, design verification and validation, functional specifications, and process validation to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Author high-quality budget estimates, funding requests, risk management documentation.
- Hands on with planning, coordinating manufacturing equipment and process.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with engineering colleagues, project managers, and clients daily through email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings.
