Product Sustaining Engineer

What you will do
The Product Sustaining Engineer is responsible for research, development, and current product documentation, mechanisms, and existing design adaptations for commercial and industrial HVAC products and parts, specifically axial fan products and components.
How you will do it
Design, fabricate, test, and evaluate existing product per design criteria defined by Project Management, Sales and Product Marketing Department.
Create part, assembly, and drawing files in SolidWorks software for HVAC products, including the use of VBA to automate the creation of SolidWorks files.
Provide assistance to Quality Assurance and Sales/Marketing for the investigation of field complaints.
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure design specifications are maintained, eliminate waste, recommend design changes, and evaluate process improvements.
Test, evaluate and compare competitor's products, materials, design, performance and application.
Interface with clients, engineers, architects, procurement, and manufacturing by answering questions regarding Commercial and Industrial fan lines.
Participate in meetings, seminars and training sessions to stay apprised on new developments in technology, tools, and resources. This may include participation in AMCA, UL, DOE, ASHRAE and AHRI committees.
Work with procurement department to identify, qualify, and approve vendors and outside sources for purchased components, including the creation of engineering specifications.
Generate of technical reports, graphs and marketing illustrations to define/illustrate systems performance and operating characteristics.
Follow and comply with company work and safety rules.
What we look for
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four year College or University required.
One to three years of hands on SolidWorks experience is required. Experience with Autodesk Revit, VBA, and experience with sheet metal forming and fabrication.
Experience in product improvement or product sustaining projects required.
Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time to respective manufacturing locations in the US and Mexico to perform quality audits and follow up on the production of products.
Experienced in air movement principles and fan/blower products strongly preferred
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency with MS Office products, an understanding of Autodesk Revit, and show proficiency with SolidWorks including automating designs within SolidWorks using VBA. Experience with AS400 is a plus.

Custodial Power Blower
Using specialized equipment thoroughly removes all peanut and trash debris from all areas of ballpark.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Using Backpack blower the ability to work with a group to thoroughly blow all peanut and trash debris from all areas of ball park including by not limited to: seating bowl, concourse, parking garage, suite balconies picnic areas etc.…
Ability to secure and store seat covers and seat cushions in designated areas of the ballpark per supervisor/lead instructions
Ability to read and understand cleaning chemical product use instructions.
Night Blower Drivers must have a valid Ohio Driver's license, and understand you are subject to random driver's license checks
Night Blower Drivers must have the ability to learn and operate a Cushman cart to transport all trash to designated trash compactors
Compactor Attendants must have the ability to monitor all four compactors ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
Compactor Attendants are to stay in assigned areas during entire shift
Compactor Attendants must sort all recyclable materials and ensure they are placed in the correct collection receptacle
Compactor Attendants must have the ability to learn and operate cardboard bailer
Required to become member of Service Employees International Union, Local Number 1
Report any maintenance or safety defects to post-game Supervisor, Lead and / or Security Control (x4501).
The ability to detect and report defects in blower equipment to Supervisor or Lead
All of the above determinations are to be done in conjunction with the post-game cleaning Supervisor and may be dictated by weather conditions and game ending time.
Perform special tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Ability to use safety equipment while working such as back brace, protective eye wear, and hearing protection.•

Fit, align, calibrate and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Wires prefabricated fiberglass covering around steam and hot water piping, using hand tools. Trowels mastic or brushes cement on insulation to obtain smooth finish and covers piping with cloth.
Fits thermoblock and magnesia-block insulation around insulating boilers, evaporators, and turbines. Wires insulation on machinery and staples wire netting over insulation. Trowels cement on wire netting to protect insulating material.
Wire cork on salt water, refrigeration, and air-conditioning piping and cements cloth over insulating material to obtain smooth finish. Cuts sheets of insulation into sections, using handsaws and miter box. Fits and cements sections around fittings.
Covers gas piping of refrigeration or air-conditioning systems with molded plastic. Fabricates detachable insulation for valves or similar fitting by measuring connections, preparing patterns cutting insulating cloth, stuffing cloth with amosite (plastic pipe covering), and metal jacketing. Wires detachable covers on valves or fittings, using handtools. Installs fiberglass, spun glass, foamglass, or calcium silacet on ventilation systems to deaden sound and prevent vibration.
