The Trade Position 2 employee performs a compilation of duties and responsibilities which includes the roles of: fiberglasser level 2, marine mechanic level 2, upholsterer, principal maintenance and welder level 2. The Trade Position 2 employee is flexible, willing to help out wherever needed, comfortable working outside in extreme heat conditions and committed to delivering the highest quality of work possible. Essential Functions:
Ensure cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere of dock and work area at all times
Perform repairs and maintenance on boats, buildings, docks, engines, electrical etc…
Perform plumbing, counter top replacements, paneling, carpentry, painting, plumbing, carpeting, and electrical
Troubleshoot and repair major components
Perform oil changes, rigging and operate boats and equipment
Construct upholstery and canvas related products. Construct patterns, cut materials, estimate job costs, operate sewing machines. Install finished product. Perform inventory control, minor equipment repair and handle customer relations
Repair and repaint defects in fiberglass boat hulls, decks and cabins, using hand and power tools. Select and prepare materials for fiberglass repair, painting and recoating. Mix resin with catalyst for temperature ranges, ensure proper lay up for optimum strength, repair, match gel coat and paint
Perform welding repairs on multiple metals such as stainless steel, aluminum and mild steel. Welds must pass pressure test
Assist with construction projects when needed
Trade Position 2 employees must fully utilize all safety equipment, ensuring proper lifting, bending and carrying techniques are adhered to
Understand all machinery, equipment and chemicals used

Statement of Primary Purpose:
A part-time instructor will conduct college courses for undergraduate students by performing the following duties.

Assist with the development of new programs in the area of expertise.
Provide assistance to advisees.
Participate in department, division and college-wide advising activities.

Use the computer and the college=s student information system to assist advisees.

- One (1) to three (3) years minimum oil and gas plant and pipeline experience.• Ability to accurately solve problems. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public. • Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision.• Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities. • Ability to accurately perform tasks.• Good written and verbal communication skills.• Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).• Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.• Ability to maintain the integrity of the pipeline operations.• Demonstrates the ability to routinely operate the water vessels unsupervised, while maintaining the facility in a safe, environmentally sound condition and maintaining neat and accurate records of the operations. • Demonstrates the ability to recognize when non-standard or non-routine conditions exist at the facility, notify supervisory staff, and offer recommendations for solutions to the problem. • Ability to work alone and highly motivated.• Basic mathematic and mechanical skills. • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process areas. • Ability to consider safety in all decisions.• Self-starter, team player, and comfortable working under pressure.
Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
