Graduation Services:
The duties for this position include processing graduation applications, updating minors and concentrations in student's records, mailing out diplomas at the end of each semester, data quality control checks, communication with students regarding graduation, and other tasks as assigned. Transfer Credit Transfer Credit student assistants are absolutely essential to the smooth operation of the Office of Admissions and the Registrar’s Transfer and Military Services team. They are responsible for data entry of course information from incoming transcripts into UAF’s student database, the indexing of all college transcripts scanned into UAF’s document imaging system, sending Transfer Credit communications to students, and other duties and projects as assigned.
Document Imaging Student assistants aid in all aspects of receiving, prepping, and scanning documents into our virtual records system OnBase. Duties include opening and processing mail, scanning and indexing of documents, make daily rounds distributing and collecting documents, file scanned batches for temporary storage. Applicant must be enrolled as a UAF student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.

The Boat Service Technician is responsible for providing services and repair to inflatable boats in our service department. The Boat Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and provides support to the Service Advisors and Service Team. The Boat Service Technician receives work orders from the Service Writers and is responsible for carrying out the work outlined on the work order and dispatched to them daily. Duties include but are not limited to: inflatable boat repair and glue work, customer and dealer add options, bottom painting boats, minor gel coat repair, detailing, installs, rigging, trailer work, deliveries, and more.Essential Duties and
· Perform related duties assigned or as the situation dictates
· Perform all preventative maintenance and repair to inflatable boats
· Perform boat rigging and installs as requested on work order
· Diagnose and trouble shoot dealership and customer boats and report extent of damage or malfunction to the service advisor

The Captain shall have the sole responsibility for insuring the safety and security of the vessel, the passengers and the crew at all times. They shall be licensed by the United States Coast Guard to operate the vessel and insure that all rules and regulations are followed as set forth for each vessel they are assigned to operate. Captains frequently spend long hours standing in the pilothouse while piloting a vessel and while boarding/ disembarking passengers. This is often outdoors during all weather conditions in and around the Chicago are waterways. - Supervision of on the water activities and enforcer of emergency action plans when needed
- Manage daily reports and reconciling of cash register, including nightly bank deposits
- Coordinating and ensuring breaks for staff
- Ensuring facilities, including bathrooms, are clean and orderly
- Reporting and recording any incidents to upper management
- Operating and ensuring proper use of on site safety launch
- Other duties as required
- Working weekend hours and holidays required
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
- Customer service skills
- Supervisory skills
- Intermediate knowledge of boating such as kayaking, sailing etc.
- Drivers License
- Red Cross CPR, First Aid (can be trained by company after hired)
- > 1 year teaching experience with at least one type of boating discipline such as sailing, kayaking or canoeing
- Life Guard or equivalent
- USSailing, ACA Certifications
- Basic proficiency in speaking Spanish, Portuguese (and/or Hindi for MA locations only)
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL WORK REQUIREMENTS
The work required is moderately physically demanding and requires a medium level of physical fitness. You will be required to do the following:
Standing > 2 Hours 80%
Lifting > 20Lbs. 30%
