Tend machines that twist together two or more strands of yarn or insert additional twists

Under the direction of the Sewing Supervisor, Lead and Trainer, the Sewer is responsible for attaching or binding pieces of fabric or leather using an industrial/commercial sewing machine. The sewer operates his/her machine in a production environment and adheres to all established safety guidelines. Sewers are required to work a full work week and be flexible to work overtime as required.
SINGLE and DOUBLE NEEDLE SEWING
Sews precut fabric or leather according to sewing diagram.
Single needle and topstitch sewing as required.
Sew welt cord or tubing as required by style.
Reads traveler for correct law label, thread and zipper color.
Uses zipper machine as required by style.
Skives the leather with the leather skiver as needed per style.
Changes needles on the machine to match the type of cover they are using.
Adjusts their seam allowance according to traveler instructions on the cover material.
Changes thread and bobbins according to traveler instructions on the cover material.
Adjusts tension as needed.
Reports any problems or issues to supervisor.
Inspects the quality of their own work.
Trains with a product development representative on new styles (Betas) and reports.

Under the direction of the Store Manager, the Customization Specialist is responsible for prepping, executing and finishing customized orders. The Customization Specialist must be able to properly set up and calibrate single-head industrial embroidery machines and heat press machines and run them to fulfill customer orders. The Customization Specialist is also responsible for preventative and regular maintenance of the customization machines.

Select correct materials to perform customization in accordance with the specifications provided on the sales orders
Set up embroidery and heat press machines at the beginning of each shift, to ensure that they works according to standards during the day
Pull orders for customization and stage for next runs
Select the right type and color or threads and ensure that they are properly threaded in machine needles
Hoop garments and fabric properly and set it under the needle to perform embroidery patterns
Select the right type and size of embroidery stencil to use for each design and ensure that any ragged edges are trimmed
Mount needles, blades and pattern plates onto embroidery machines and ensure that they are properly disconnected and cleaned after each job
Monitor embroidery machine operation to ensure high level of accuracy
Ensure proper placement for embellishments
Properly set temperature for selected garments

Troubleshooting and repair of all injection molding presses.
Clean all the molds and machines in your area
Grease the molds and carriers on the molds
Perform mold change-overs
Clean all excess residue that may come in contact with the parts
Change cavities and cores that have been damaged
Spray the parts that are blocked off with silicone
Pay close attention to alarms on presses, whether the pressers are with or without parameters
Look at Lexan and shielding to assure that parts aren't getting out off into stacking equipment
Report any oil leaks to maintenance
Assist operators with any problems that arise (i.e. stacker jams, belts off)
Assist mold technicians in different areas
Perform adjustments to molding machines to optimize the cycle and to make good quality parts
Work with the quality control department on any quality problems
Fill out mold books and down time sheets
Assist with color changes
Assist with material changes

Rethreads machine (color changes) as required, based on work instructions.

Responsible for conducting regular simple machine maintenance, such as oiling, removing dirt and lint from small parts and spaces, or other parts such as bobbin cases and tensioning devices.
