Fabricates and/or modifies complex micro-integrated circuit modules and sub-assemblies which may have preliminary processes in need of maturation for wire and ribbon bonding utilizing various manual and automatic bonding machines.
Must be familiar with MIL-STD-883.
Must be familiar with working with bonding complex microwave modules.
Must be familiar with manual gold ball and ribbon bonding.
Must be very familiar with manual bonding equipment (K S, MEI, Westbond and Hy-Bond).
Familiar with automatic bonding equipment (Palomar 2460/8000/9000 ball bonders and H K wedge bonders).
Must be familiar with working with a wide variety of adhesives and epoxies.
Extensive experience and understanding of military criteria.

The selected candidate will bond a variety of dissimilar material assemblies (composite, metal, or laminate), parts, skins, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products. Essential Functions:
Read and interpret blueprints + Lay out articles, cut parts or materials to size and apply liquid or solid bonding agents.
- Understanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes + Operate autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycle + Control conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used + Sands, burrs and smooth over areas, applying sealing resins to cut or exposed edges + Monitors and verifies quality of finished product. Completes repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions + Required ability to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and working overhead + Required ability to be certified for a half & full face respirator + Must be able to access small confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
High School diploma/GED + Minimum of 3 monthscomposites experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment OR enrollment in Aircraft Fabrication courses or equivalent program.
The ability to pass Special Medical/Respiratory Exam.
The ability to acquire enhanced security clearance and/or program access prior to beginning work.
