Data Center Technical Lead
As a Data Center Lead, you will be spending more than 50% of the time working alongside Data Center Technicians in supporting installs, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers. The remaining time will be spent on daily onsite management of staff and other non-technical duties. You will play a crucial role with identifying and escalating opportunities within the client's infrastructure for efficiency and effectiveness improvements. Expansion of basic knowledge and experience working with computers and related knowledge is expected along with added supervisory responsibilities. Prior leadership experience is desired.
Oversees daily management of staff, including technicians.
Coach and mentor staff to achieve high quality results and high performance.
Conduct regular one on one employee status meetings to provide performance feedback as well as annual performance reviews.
Adhere to and apply the disciplinary process related to staff performance issues.
Provides explanations for operational performance results (explain why metrics/KPI's missed, met, or exceeded targets.)

Collaborate and share best practices with Data Center Leads in other locations (drive increased teamwork across regions)

Data Center Operations Engineer
Facebook is seeking an entry level engineer to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced and complex environment. Having a working knowledge of server hardware and the desire to participate in projects at a large-scale data center is central to this role.
This position will work to resolve and diagnose compute issues at scale, escalate issues and work with remote engineering teams. Additionally, this role will support rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and support cloud scale compute and storage environments. Solid communication skills are a requirement for this role.
This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success. This position is permanent and will be based in Altoona, IA.

- Work within Facebook's ticketing system in support of the health of Facebook's server fleet

Construction Manager, Special Projects
In this role, you will work closely with the ICM Construction teams and various internal departments including Cost Control, Pre-Construction, Facility Operations, Data Center Connectivity and Operations Engineering. The focus will be on program management of retrofit construction projects in the areas of cost control, communications, scheduling, and general operations.
The Special Projects Group within the infrastructure team focuses on small to medium scale technical construction projects supporting our existing Data Center sites globally and oversight of all construction on FB occupied co-location facilities. The ideal candidate will have a background in general construction practices both in the field and from the client's perspective. Strong communication and project management skills will be key to success in this role. This full-time role, which is based at our Altoona, Iowa Data Center, will involve periodic travel to various project sites and the home office in California.
- Provide project planning and scoping by working with cross-functional partners and internal customers to identify, sequence and package work scopes for execution
Creation and maintenance of project schedules
Manage design, construction, commissioning and closeout of multiple consecutive data center capacity augment and/or retrofit projects
Provide contractor, designer and Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) vendor oversight on a per project basis
Provide project management of internal project delivery process to include procurement, scheduling, and internal communication and coordination
