The purpose of this position is to operate equipment associated with the crush process. Operators in this position are responsible for the effective and efficient operation of prep and extraction. They will ensure that the equipment is fully operational and in good repair. Interacts on a regular basis with crush operators, supervisors or other personnel. They will ensure that all work and tasks being completed in their work area is done safely and within Cargill guidelines. They will maintain full qualifications for both operator roles: extraction and prep. They will work in both roles on a rotating basis or as needed.

Respond to process deviations in a systematic way following Operator Response guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Control traffic through department and ensure that all visitors, contractors, and others follow Extraction safety rules.
Maintain a safe work environment for themselves and others in Prep Building and surrounding grounds. Ensure all work and tasks done in the Prep Building and surrounding area are completed safely and within all Cargill rules.
Act as the Emergency Coordinator in the event of an emergency when supervision is not present on-site.
Operate all equipment associated with the prep process, including flakers, crackers, dehulling, Foss analysis system.
Both operator roles:
Monitor and adjust operation using computerized and controlled systems to meet department requirements.
Process samples utilizing lab equipment to obtain and record values on a computer spreadsheet and collect samples for several process areas.
Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily
Work outdoors in a dusty environment.
Enter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervision.
Control traffic through department and ensure that all visitors follow Extraction safety rules.
Troubleshoot minor problems as required.
Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation.

This position is responsible for the creation of prepared products, order filling and cross-training amongst all process operator functions to serve as break and/or rotation duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Chemical Operator will be responsible for mastering processes for multiple stations to result in quality of end product. Interested individuals should be able to work independently and as a team.
