Quad/Graphics Fairfield Book facility located at 100 N. Miller St., is currently seeking a Jacket Operators.
This position is responsible for the following:
Sets up, in accordance with job specifications, machine that automatically applies dust jackets to finished hardbound books.
Adjusts hopper feeder and forming irons as well as other mechanical adjustments to produce a tight fitting jacketed product.
Ensures quality by continuously monitoring: Jacket quality, finished book quality, jacket application, packaging standards, and count verification.
Continuously controls product waste by assuring that, all usable product is utilized, shipping information is properly followed, and informing Casing-In Operator of deviations from specifications to minimize bad product.
Maintains proper records, including: Downtime and Production Sheets.
12 hr. rotating shift schedules 7AM-7PM; 7PM-7AM
Able to read, write, and comprehend written instructions.
Basic arithmetic functions.
Able to use measuring devices.

Senior Manager, Tax (Maternity Cover - Fixed Term Contract)
The Senior Manager, Tax – Central Europe will report to Director Tax - Europe.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager Tax is to coordinate and manage all aspects of the local income tax compliance and reports to the Director Tax, Europe. In addition to the key tax compliance activities, this role also involves dealing with tax audit requests. The role supports Central Europe. Other countries may be assigned as defined by Management.
Responsibilities include coordination, preparation and filing of tax returns for entities incorporated in the Continent. In addition, this position will be a key contributor in efforts to improve and create processes that ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information for Marriott's subsidiaries. The Senior Manager works with independence, but within established guidelines, producing and analyzing financial information as to support the subsidiaries. In addition, he/she will serve as a key point-of-contact for stakeholders across the organization.
The Senior Manager, Tax – Central Europe provides support to all hotel brands of Marriott across Central Europe.

Effectively manage the relationship with local Directors of Finance and local tax advisors to ensure foreign income tax returns are properly prepared, timely filed, appropriately documented, and all corporate tax issues are addressed
Ensure compliance with tax filing obligations including estimated payments and information returns
Support the Director of Tax and HQ to engage local advisors to prepare and consult on local tax filing obligations
Facilitate the collection of data required to prepare tax returns
Timely and accurate completion of all income tax accounting deliverables including, but not limited to, general ledger tax account reconciliations, US ASC 740 deferred reconciliations for both local and US GAAP book to tax differences, local financial statement provision analyses, return to provision analyses, separate company tax balance sheets and the maintenance and accurate application of withholding tax rates.
Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting responsibilities to Corporate Headquarters as provided in the Governance deliverables for Local Tax Returns/Tax Payments
Coordinate and approve payment of professional fees
Assist with withholding tax issues and treaty clearance compliance
Assist HQ and the Director of Tax manage tax audits
Work with HQ and Continent Office on tax related initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned.

Fine Arts Book Designer
The Book Designer will be part of a dynamic, creative team of designers and editors who specialize in creating illustrated how-to books for fine artists. Major responsibility of the designer is the design of book covers and interiors for art instruction books, which includes concept development, full book layout, production, preparing files for prepress and reviewing proofs.
Essential Job Functions
Design of art instruction books (book covers, book interiors) from concept all the way through prepress.
Work closely with design, editorial and sales team members to make sure books meet goals and maintain brand standards. Attend weekly team meetings for status reports.
Work closely with the Production Department to make sure books are produced efficiently, with high quality standards, and in a timely manner. Deliver files correctly prepared for prepress. Review color proofs for quality.
As a team player, it is also expected that this individual would take on additional design and production tasks when needed outside the daily duties of the job description. Additional tasks may include DVD covers, social media and marketing materials.
Reports and receives direction from the Art Director, with input from Senior Designer.
A college degree with at least 2 years of experience in the field of graphic design. Previous print design or publication design experience is a plus.
