Key Performance Areas
As the CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder, you will be responsible for setting up and operating ANCA or Walter grinding machines to produce solid carbide cutting tools.
Requirements of this position also include, but are not limited to:
Setup and operate CNC tool & Cutter Grinding Equipment
Inspection of tools produced
Operate Wheel Dresser
Operate Wheel pack Measuring equipment
Measure all specified geometries per print specifications
You possess a minimum of 2 years of Cutter Grinding experience and High School diploma or GED. You also possess strong knowledge of cutting tools and strong analytical trouble-shooting ability. Experience with Walter, ANCA, or similar grinders is preferred, as is knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing.

This is a position that is responsible for cutting and processing custom and standard inventory items fabricating whole muscle meats for further processing.

Assesses quality of product to ensure that poor quality is not being sent out.
Works directly with management to control shrink – bring product quality to attention of management so credit can be taken from vendors.
Accurately cut to trim and yield specifications (cut to ounce size per customer specifications).
Provide communication to supervisor of any discrepancies between cutting tickets and normal customer purchases.
Pull raw materials and pre-cut inventory according to code dates and report any short shelf-life items to the supervisor.
Properly label all products to conform to all legal and safety regulations.
Properly and accurately record all necessary data to produce assigned cutting yield tests.
Accurately count product inventory levels and maintain levels set forth by supervisor.
Ensure that all product specifications are being met according to guidelines.
Maintain work areas in compliance with U.S.D.A guidelines.
Assemble and tear down any equipment in work area at the beginning and/or end of the shift.
Properly clean, store and maintain all knives, scales, etc. assigned.
Ensuring that the portion size and quantity the customer ordered is always correct and consistent.
Avoid cross contamination by not mixing the different species on tables, bandsaws, or bins.
Bandsaw – Only employees who have been trained may use.

Machinist Level I
The Machinist Level I performs machine operations on conventional or CNC machine tools such as lathes, boring mills, milling machines, grinding machines, or shapers:
Read and interpret blueprints, program readouts, and technical directives to determine and obtain materials and cutting tools for the job and to visualize the finished part and critical surfaces, dimensions, and tolerances.
Complete basic machine set ups.
Follow detailed instructions concerning the location of necessary dimensions on blueprints, sequence of machine operations, machine feeds and speeds, tools to be used, alignment processes, and predetermined machined dimensions.
Align parts in the machine according to set methods and given reference points, exercising care to keep material, holding fixtures, and machine stops clear of chips and particles.
Use knowledge of machine operations to recognize defective tooling, improper coolant flow, the need for changing speeds or feeds, machine malfunctions, or obvious dimensional deviations. Correct the problem by adjusting the machine, cutting tool, or fixture or obtain assistance from a higher level machinist.
