The Bottle Maker Development Program (BMDP) is a unique initiative within Ardagh Group's Technical Training program for developing skilled Bottle Makers within the company. It is designed to provide solid glass manufacturing experience for hands-on individuals who are seeking a career.
The objective of the BMDP Program is to provide a broad manufacturing experience and a sound understanding of the glass composition and production process, including technical, quality, safety, and supervisory skills during an intense 48-month program of work assignments and related technical and non-technical seminars that will lay a strong foundation for becoming an expert in bottle making.
Bottle Maker Program participants will become assimilated into the Ardagh Group organization by participating in a comprehensive orientation program. BMDP participantswill be assigned to a technical mentor and various plant locations to begin their intense rotation within the glass manufacturing operation. BMDPs will be exposed to every functional department and also work on special assignments to help the plants meet goals and satisfy the needs of customers in a lean six sigma approach.
Ideal candidates must possess a minimum of a high school degree. Associate's degree or certification in a technical / mechanical or related discipline is preferred but will consider years of work experience.
Must be motivated by solving problems and have strong problem-solving skills.
Must have a willingness to learn, take initiative and accept challenging and difficult projects.
Must have the commitment and drive to excel as an individual technical lead and team player.

The Gauger is responsible for the measurement of high and low pressure gathering systems. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collecting gas and liquid samples.
Operating and maintaining gas and liquid sampling systems.
Maintaining and calibrating portable and stationary gas testing devices.
Acquiring information on site using stain tubes or electronic devices for obtaining H2S, CO2, O2, water content and nitrogen.
Scheduling, completing and witnessing flow tests on wells using open flow orifice meters and portable meter runs.

Description of the Position:
This position's primary duty is to provide excellent customer service in the Bottle Shop and to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for our customers while they taste and shop. Duties include but are not limited to greeting customers, assisting them with any questions, suggesting merchandise; pouring and serving beer, wine and spirits; making coffee and espresso drinks, serving food, operating the POS, accurate cash handling, cleaning, stocking, processing freight, opening and closing duties as they are assigned, dishwashing, general cleaning, working outside on a seasonal basis, and most importantly, maintaining and providing excellent customer relations with all patrons. Bottle Shop employees may also be asked to work outside in merchandise tents, complete physical inventory, and set up merchandise presentations in the store. Bottle Shop employees will be trained on all McMenamin products including wine, liquor, beer and coffee and be should able to make recommendations and suggestions to customers shopping with us. This position requires the ability to effectively multi-task in an occasionally fast paced and deadline oriented environment. A Bottle Shop employee must also have the ability to work well independently and also as a member of a team. Each employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All McMenamins employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties are to be completed as assigned by the Manager on duty.

ABOUT This Position:
Lead a team of developers to architect, design, develop and test middleware systems using modern technology such as Kotlin, Java, and Node. Explore related technologies like API Gateways, Kubernetes, and Microservices. Initiate and drive the development of standards, best practices, and guidelines.
Ensure team adheres to proper design principles and applies them to projects and frameworks
Provide accurate estimates of projects and features
Works directly with individual contributors to mentor them in advancing their role-specific skills and careers.
Optimizes overall team performance, by coaching individual team members
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members and teams
Present issues and risks, and their business impact to management in a timely manner with proposed mitigation. Actively seeks and removes impediments to team success regardless of where they originate.
Establish new and improve existing design principles, coding style guidelines, discipline standards, and process improvements
Communicate effectively and clearly with internal and external clients
Maintain confidentiality of client credentials, components of statistical work, client documents and interfacing of their systems
Continuously improves software development productivity, quality, predictability, and team morale
Human resource contributions associated with the team, including recruiting, hiring, performance evaluation, and coaching
Monitor and track the latest developments and direction of cloud first, serverless, and middleware technologies.
Work closely with other developers to design, develop, test, implement and support new applications,
systems, and tools

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of software industry experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a team of technical resources, including recruiting, administrative, performance, and resource planning
Experience managing teams delivering APIs, middleware, mobile, and/or cloud-based solutions
Hands on experience with agile software development methodologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience
Experience leading middleware development teams with modern frameworks (Kotlin, Java, Node, etc.)
Proven managerial experience, including experience coaching direct reports in building and managing their career development plans
Familiar with Continuous Integration concepts and tools
Good time management skills
Strong communication skills with a high emphasis on the ability to explain technology in business terms and to express opinions clearly in a straightforward manner
Self-driven and self-managed with the ability to operate effectively with minimum oversight
Able to work in a fast-paced, very team-oriented environment
Have a passion for technology and follow industry best practices
Regular attendance at work is required for successful performance
Past experience in leading teams in building and maintaining large commercial systems.
Experience in managing distributed teams with engineers in multiple locations (on-site and remote)
Experience managing vendors and managed services providers
Some knowledge of API Gateway technologies.
Some experience with Cloud (AWS, Google, etc)
Experience using Atlassian suite of tools - Confluence, JIRA, Stash
