The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work-in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with company and/or customer quality standards for our Williamson facility.

Shift and Schedule
This is a full time permanent position and will work on either our 2nd or 3rd shift. Our 2nd shift typically runs from 2:00pm until 10:30pm. Our 3rd shift typically runs 10:00pm until 6:30am. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as well as the ability to adapt to changing schedules is required.
Conduct organoleptic and analytical tests at various stages of compounding and packaging to ensure compliance with standards. May include the use of pH meters, HPLC, Malvern Mastersizer, and other instrumentation.
Submit samples for microbiological testing, maintains test results, and calculates batch adjustments for certain products.
Approve batches for packaging and conforming finished product for shipment and places non-conforming product on hold for further analysis.
Make corresponding inventory movements in SAP.
File and maintain retained samples.
Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Prepare reagents and solutions for use in testing. Observes conditions and practices in compounding, packaging, and finished goods storage areas, making recommendations for improvement.

Individual will perform quality assurance testing on video, audio and subtitle tracks; menu and disc navigation; and player compatibility for Standard Definition/Blu-ray movie titles.
Individual will perform incoming quality control of the client supplied materials (audio, video, subtitles, and graphics) for SD/BD Disc production.
Individual will perform emulation qc of authored SD/BD disc images (linear playback testing of audio, video and subtitles; disc navigation testing; etc.).
Individual will perform disc qc using SD/BD players (linear playback testing of audio, video and subtitles; disc navigation testing; etc.).
Duties require an accurate and methodical approach to testing as well as a very focused and detailed attention to audio, video and subtitle impairments and artifacts.
Visual quality assurance testing of compressed video material.
Audible quality assurance testing of encoded audio material.
Visual quality assurance testing of subtitle (text) streams.
Qualification of menu navigation and functionality of BD software.
Use DM Checklists to verify compliance of DM product to client specifications and Bill of Materials.
This is the final step in the SD/BD disc authoring production process. This individual will test all facets of a SD/BD movie title before the project is viewed by the client and/or approved for mass replication.
Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
AA degree in computer science, programming, electronics, A/V technology, television production or related field (or equivalent experience).
2-4 years quality control experience in DVD, gaming or related field preferred.
Blu-ray quality control experience is preferred.
Individual must possess a fundamental understanding of audio, video, interactive multimedia, professional tape machines, and consumer electronic devices.
Individual must be able to troubleshoot quality control issues and player anomalies.
Individual must be organized, diligent and detail-oriented.
Individual must possess solid verbal and written communication skills.
Duties require an accurate and methodical approach to testing as well as a very focused and detailed attention to audio, video and subtitle impairments and artifacts.
Individual must be capable of working in a fast-paced, small team environment with hard deadlines.
Individual must create their own quality control procedures for testing and approving BD movie projects.
Individual will need to make frequent "subjective" decisions as part of their daily function (e.g. determining the "severity rating" for quality defects, determining which defects are acceptable, etc.).

PURPOSE & SCOPE:
Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager is responsible for testing and reporting the quality of aggregate received and
distributed to meet the standards set forth.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBITIES:
- Responsible for all testing in the Quality Control Laboratory.
- Maintains sample log to ensure all testing required happens in a timely fashion and meets required turnaround times.
- Become certified in ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level I certified within 6 months of employment.
- Conduct field and raw material tests in accordance to ASTM, FDOT and AASHTO procedures. Must have a working
knowledge of Florida Methods (FM), AASHTO, and ASTM testing.
5) Supervises repair and maintenance on lab equipment.
6) Conducts in house calibrations of equipment as needed.
7) Perform all duties in a safe manner and report ant safety concerns or violations to the QC Manager and/or the Company
8) Responsible for maintaining the requirements of the current "Construction Materials Engineering Council" Laboratory
9) Responsible for maintaining the QMS (Quality Management System).
10) Responsible for ensuring all housekeeping and cleanliness of the lab is maintained.
11) Additional duties may be required as deemed by the Daytona QC Manager.
This position receives authority from the Daytona lab QC manager and/or the Director of Quality Control.

Do you have a passion for working in a manufacturing laboratory environment? The work will require you to collect, label, analyze, and record results related to raw materials, intermediate products, finished goods, packaging materials and other samples. Also, you will keep records, trend analysis, and other Quality Control (QC) related responsibilities will be performed as directed by laboratory supervision.
Key work tasks:
Samples, labels, and retains materials as indicated by the written procedures or instructions.
Performs analysis for environmental monitoring, material, and product samples according to standard microbiological procedures and analyzes results to determine if they comply with manufacturing standards and support supply chain needs.
Prepares and executes documentation for validation of equipment and test methods.
Performs routine instrument maintenance and calibration as needed to enable the completion of analytical work.
Confronts business related problems and conducts problem analyses, investigations, instrument/method troubleshooting, and issue resolution as necessary.

Possess experience and knowledge of microbiological techniques/methods such as aseptic technique, media selection, preparation, and growth promotion, total viable count, gram stain, and identification.
Understand basic principles for clean design of equipment and facilities and procedures/requirements for cleaning and sanitization.
Interpret microbiological method procedures and safety instructions using standard microbiological terms and measures.
Perform routine calculations pertaining to general laboratory practices and microbiological techniques (e.g. dilution, concentration, test results).
Ability to develop and implement laboratory procedures relating to technical expertise, quality, and safety.

Work closely with the Division Lab to ensure raw material sampling schedules are met, and that all daily HMA testing results are communicated to the appropriate parties. Assist with the investigation and testing of new raw material sources and products. Ensure quality HMA is being produced through the active testing of raw materials. Must report all suspect results to management immediately.
Occasional lab work will be required for both training and participating in lab related projects and mix designs.
Maintain a log book of all testing conducted at the lab, plant and on-site, as well as all HMA related observations throughout your shift

Individual has prior training and experience in the materials testing field and demonstrates a proficiency to perform basic Quality Control duties and responsibilities. Candidate should be working toward his/her testing certifications.
Education: High School graduation or its equivalent is required. One (1) or two (2) years of college or its' equivalent preferred.
License: A valid drivers license is required.

Responsible for technical assessment and analysis of key quality processes and data, such as being ahead or behind on supplier, customer or internal audits/ahead or behind on Manufacturing Change Orders and Engineering Change Order approvals including Pro Launch.

Records auditing including documentation, verification and closure of nonconformities and noncompliance identified

General Description. A Quality Control Technician is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described more fully, below. A Quality Control Technician typically performs a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the work flow dictates.
This position is responsible for controlling the quality of the production of hot mix asphalt through inspection of the plant, production materials, and jobsite review as well as conducting routine and special laboratory testing to ensure conformance standards
Proficiently and accurately sample and conduct visual inspection and laboratory testing of construction materials according to the appropriate standard test methods to insure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping and arrival on the jobsite
Test methods include but not limited to DOT regulations.
Communicate and document test results to plant operator, supervisor and operations
Review mix designs and product to job specifications of upcoming projects
Perform jobsite inspection, customer service and trouble shooting as needed
Prepare various QC reports and formulating specific recommendations to resolve or correct quality issues
Visually inspecting stockpiles, materials sources, plant and truck loads at plant sites
Conduct testing and assisting in plant inspection and calibration to insure the proper quality of the product
Verify outside construction materials testing laboratory results and maintain accurate, timely records of test data, product quality, and defective materials
Prepare statistical summary quality reports on company product lines
Serve as a technical resource to operations, sales and customers
Keep informed of professional and technical developments of new specifications to maintain and improve operational efficiencies by attending relevant technical meetings
Possess and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of asphalt and plant operations
Perform various tests in an orderly, efficient, and accurate manner
Complete understanding of mix design characteristics for asphalt products and various product specifications
Strong math and average computer skills are required
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to interact with individuals at any level of the organization (i.e. plant production personnel, plant managers, contractors, and agency representatives)
Ability to problem-solve and work independently
Prepare various QC reports and formulate specific recommendations to resolve or correct quality issues; and work with outside venders, agencies, and customers on a variety of quality related issues
Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts

Education and Experience. This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a Quality Control Technician. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. One (1) or two (2) years of college or equivalent (e.g. trade school, specialized training). Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees. Must have 3-5 years field and plant experience in testing and controlling the quality of asphalt pavement materials and construction aggregates. A valid driver's license is required. Three (3) to Five (5) years or more of industry related experience is required for this position, with an emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges.
Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Quality Control Technician to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
Frequently work with hands extended overhead, sometimes in conjunction with the operation of hand power tools.
Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Quality Control Technician encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.

Sr Technician - Lab Quality Control 2Nd Shift - (3:00 Pm - 11:30 Pm)

This position will report to the Quality Organization of PharMEDium
Senior Laboratory Technician at this facility will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of our compounded admixed product for distribution to customers nationwide. Technicians will abide by all documentation procedures and maintain a level of professionalism throughout each working day. The technician must be familiar with cGMP/GLP and 21 CFR Part 11 procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving, storage, and logging in samples for testing analysis.
Setting up glassware daily to ensure cleanliness and accuracy.
Keeping the laboratory clean
Ordering supplies and other materials
Maintains the supply inventory for the laboratory.
Maintains the daily cleanliness of the laboratory.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures
Maintenance of Laboratory Notebooks
Support in all regulatory inspections: FDA, DEA, Board of Pharmacy, and Internal Audits
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree in science with 2 years of analytical laboratory experience
Knowledge of basic laboratory safety
Ability to execute planned projects
Excellent communication skills
Computer knowledge of spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge GMP documentation and Qualitative testing
