OVERVIEW: A Bottom Painter is responsible for prepping (cleaning, stripping, scraping, sanding) and painting vessels below the water line. Additionally the bottom painter may be responsible for pressure washing vessels, examining and repairing running gear and/or zincs and replacing props.

The Managing Director of Development (MDD) will lead Bottom Line's local efforts in New York City to engage stakeholders across the region in raising the funding and resources needed to help students get into college, graduate and go far. Bottom Line seeks to grow its regional revenue to meet the demand for our programs across our communities.
The primary responsibility of our NY Development team is to execute a strong and multi-faceted development plan that has both philanthropic and fee-for-service components. As a National organization, our overall Development strategy is developed centrally, providing a foundation from which local teams, under the leadership of the MDD, can build to adapt to local needs, opportunities, and strengths.
A successful MDD will be able to work in partnership with the NY Executive Director (ED) and the NY Advisory Board's Development Committee to maximize revenue annually while continuing to build for the future. The MDD will oversee the full regional portfolio, directly managing a mid-sized portfolio of major donors (individual and institutional) of their own while providing strategic guidance to both the ED and the portfolio managers who report to them, to ensure strong stakeholder engagement across all segments. The MDD reports directly to the NY Executive Director.

Lead a team of 3-4 individuals to meet the annual revenue goal for Bottom Line through grants and proposals, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and fee-for-service agreements

The Vulcan Cooking business produces commercial equipment including steamers, braising pans and kettles. We are in search of a Polisher to perform a variety of polishing operations to obtain specified finish and luster to fabrications and parts from sheet metal, stainless steel and other materials. To polish/fabricate manufactured stainless steel components to meet print specifications.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Operate a wide variety of machines such as band saws, hydraulic presses, belt sanders, hand tools for sizing, heat treat oven, pickle tank, washing machines, tumblers, hand benders, I.D., O.D., and air gun polishing equipment.
Interpret work order to select proper tooling and work center to manufacture components to print specifications.
Inspect work for any defects in polish areas such as pits, cracks, or poor weld quality. Have the part repaired as necessary to conform to specifications.
Repair any welding or material flaws detected by welding or inspection.
Enter labor time and piece counts on the computer for accurate labor recording.
When moving finished goods, confirm that parts have been identified properly and are in correct location.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Ability to read, write and process all instructions.
Proven ability to learn new tasks.
Use and understand measuring equipment such as calipers, height gauges, rulers, profilometers, and micrometers.
Must be able to read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and have good basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
Good manual (hand) dexterity and good eyesight.

Observe machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems.
Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications, using knowledge of machine operation.
Measure work pieces and lay out work, using precision measuring devices.

Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:
High School Diploma/ GED.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

Work schedule generally consists of 40+ hours per week, which may include weekends.
