Capable of set-up and run production for all machines and related tools in the lathe department. Assist supervisor in scheduling and assist in keeping operators on task. Support the development, implementation, and enhancement of lean manufacturing concepts in an effort to continuously improve productivity, quality, reduce costs, and increase on-time deliveries.
Essential Job Functions:

The Turning Lathe Technician is responsible for the overall function of a CNC machine. Providing open communication regarding production and routing any malfunctions to the appropriate person. The machinist helps in driving quality and establishing best practices to ensure the highest quality and output of the machine.
Maintains the machine area and reports any maintenance issues and operates and performs basic maintenance on the CNC Swiss machine.
Ensure the tools with the machine match those on the tool lists, loading and unloading various parts onto the machine, and loading and unloading programs into the machine.
Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications using various measuring tools such as: calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, and vision system.
Enter information into the router and fill out the machine log sheet and addresses machine alarms by referring to the machine manual.
Use and help drive compliance with line clearance requirements to execute good document practices, workmanship standards, quality compliance, and 5s principles
Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems.
Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
Work with team to build and sustain safe working environment and Helps train and develop entry level machinists

Brad Foote Gearing, a division of Broadwind Energy, is seeking a Re Centering Manual Horizontal Turning Machinist to join our team in Cicero, IL. This is a first shift position, with overtime as necessary. The Manual Turning Machinist is responsible for performing complex close tolerance operations in turning, facing, boring, chamfering recessing and form turning on a wide variety of production parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Check the Route Sheet, blueprint and sketch for the operation and instructions
Set up and operate engine lathes, turret lathes or vertical boring mills
Measure rough material and divide stock to ensure 100% clean up
Turn the first side per turning sketch, blueprint and Route Sheet instructions
Check all dimensions, and if correct, remove the piece part from the machine
On second side, use soft jaws when applicable, skin cut soft jaws to ensure the face will run true within .001" T.I.R., true up the outside diameter to run true within .001" T.I.R.
When turning bevels, a proof spot should be added to the back and O.D. of the gear
Recenter and proofspot shafts and pinions after heat treat true to gear pitch diameters within 0.005"
Turn lengths per blueprint and route sheets
Face, center, drill and tap shafts and pinions
Safely operate Kent and Poreba engine lathes
Check the size, and if correct, remove the piece part from the machine
Stamp parts per SOP
Follow bar-coding procedures

Creel Tender - Warping - (B Shift (Top Pay - 11.57)
Age 18 due to equipment.
12 Hr. Shift
Provide first quality warps for internal and external customers.
Inspect nylon/lycra as it is uncased for correct denier, merge, type and any visible defects.
To ensure accountability - each package of nylon is marked to identify the shift that loaded it.
Responsible for driving stock picker into nylon creels, placing package on holders, tie new packages onto thread line, transfer protective caps, remove small packages and place in boxes for recycling.
Return repacks to carton and place on pallets to be turned to the vendor.
Help Operators to restart machines after creels have been reloaded and tied over, removing any tight ends or defective packages.
Patrol lycra creels for any thread lines that are above or below the packages as the machine is restarted.
Responsible for adding packages and replacing threads when the warping orders call for any changes.
Frequently exposed to high, precarious places and exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Obtain Stock Picker Operators License.
Must have 20/20 vision or 20/20 correctable vision.
Require drug test.
Must pass vision and hearing test.

We are looking for an experienced person who will be responsible for setting up and operating numerically controlled Horizontal or Vertical lathes to perform difficult machining operations on parts that are 10 to 54 or 60 to 120 inches in diameter; such as turning, boring, drilling, facing of castings, forgings, and in-process production with jet engine components for aerospace industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Must be able to read process sheets, blueprints and sketches of parts to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
Install and preset tooling to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments accessories, and material on machines
May set tools before positioning them in lathe, using precision gauges and instruments.
Set up and operate another machine tool during automatically controlled machining cycles.
Depresses buttons, toggles, or sets tape and starts machining operation.
Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.
Inspects first-run piece and spot-checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications, using micrometers, swing gauges and precision dial gauges.
Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run during automatically controlled cycles to shorten changeover time.
Documents the required in-process inspection dimensions
Inspects and measures parts to maintain statistical process control charts.
May machine non-metallic materials.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
Must have 2 to 4 years of trade school, vocational education, work experience and/or apprenticeship.

Laborer - Bottom Pour
The position is extremely labor intensive and will require one to work around extreme heat; to work at heights; to lift up to 55 pounds on a frequent basis; to work on uneven surfaces, and to be proficient in the use of hand tools. The ability to use computers is required.
Applicants must be able to work a 21-turn rotating schedule (including weekends and holidays), be able to work overtime and up to 12 hours per day. Remote crane experience and forklift experience is preferred. Will be required to submit to a criminal background investigation.
Hair follicle drug screening will be required upon offer of employment. Applicants must be able to provide a High School Diploma/GED upon hire.

Packaging and labeling
Report any and all safety violations to the shift supervisor to ensure the working environment is free from safety hazards.
Engages in the daily operator maintenance program such as basic oiling of machines.
Collects data for Production Boards.
Performs other duties as assigned
Ability to understand and follow all safety procedures including but not limited to PPE, steel toe safety shoes, maintaining safety guards, etc.
Ability to tend to more than one machine at the same time..

United States of America
Responsible for continuous boiler operations and operation of portable boilers on an as-required basis. Must be able to adjust a wide variety of boilers for maximum operational efficiency.
1.Monitor boiler feed water to ensure proper water conditions to prevent mineral deposits and corrosion in the boiler.
2.Perform preventive maintenance actions and perform boiler fueling operations.
3.Employ instrumentation and trouble-shooting skills to detect and resolve boiler operational problems.
4.Perform fuel transfer operations
